Got a new Sidekick Slide that Motorola manufactured? Well, a little bad news for you, it has a design defect. The handset loses its power when you flip the screen up and down a couple times and reboots itself without any warning.
When the battery is pulled out during handset’s operation, it will instantly do a hard reset, so when this random reboots happened, it will basically hard reset your Sidekick. BGR reported that it could be caused by bad design on the battery and the battery contact.
You should either exchange the phone with a new unit (who knows you will get the same defective unit) or use a quick fix by putting a business card and stick it between the battery and the battery cover to give better contact to the battery connector.

It is wayy better than sk2 , sk3, and the sk ID, it has better camera even without a flash its camera is better than all of the sk camera… and the sk id is for people who are LOSERSSSSS !!!

My sidekick slide works great, but randomly just reset tonight, making me feel like its still got some bugs in it, altough I still have some of my stuff saved, a lot of it got deleted, anyone else with the same problems recently?

Sidekick slides suck. I got mine after this bug had been “fixed” and its rebooted 3 times in the past 2 weeks. I lost everything that wasn’t saved to my phone. I hate you tmobile, I hate you.

Sidekick Blows.
NeutralI had no problems untill tonight.
My phone froze with a black screen so I popped the battery out and when I put it back in EVERYTHING was gone. I lost 160 contacts, my entire calander, about 20 things I had to remember that were on my todo list. All my texts and pictures that werent on the SD card. I HATE Sidekick now. Seriously! WTF?

SERIOUSLY, i’ve had my sidekick slide since the first time it came out.
when the whole bug thing was happening, it didnt happen to my phone at all. so i didnt issue for a new one or anytthing. my sidekick has been good to me until recently. not its starting to have that problem. and its pissing me offffff.

the sidekick slide is driving me CRAZY. i got it about 2 months ago and it worked well for about a month… then it started turning off EVERY time i slid it. not just every 30 or so slides. so i called t mobile sent it in and got a new one about 5 days ago. this new one I THOUGHT was fixed but no. same exact problem. and now its deleting EVERYTHING. im in warranty and i tried the paper trick. doesnt work for crap. im just going to send it and ask for the new lx. its cheaper then the slide was when i got it. $250 dollars of wasted money

yo man i got this sidekick slide and the first week i got it the phone started acting up. i havent used it for a month after i bought it. then i got a warranty exchange and still giving me problems. it didnt have service and it keeps on saying “searching.” then coming to find out tmobile gave me a recall phone which sucks big time. the 2nd phone i got from the warranty still the same shit… and the 3rd one omfg tmobile gave me a broken screen. can they fix this?? cause i’ve been paying the ups every time i sent it back. tmobile better f*ckng give me a different phone and give me credit if not i’ll be force to cancel my lines and change my service. f**ck this shit.
