These are some of the most gorgeous and interesting tiles I’ve seen: the Sensitile range. There are a variety of different finishes and materials, including concrete, pigmented polymer and resin, but all use the same light-pipe technology to create shimmering, randomly flickering and glowing patterns of light and dark. In the Scintilla range, shown below, light-conducting channels are carved into a block of polymer which creates shifting and rippling light in response to movement. 

It’s incredibly difficult to describe and do them justice, which is why I’m going to instead point you to their site and suggest you take a look at their videos.
