These are some of the most gorgeous and interesting tiles I’ve seen: the Sensitile range.  There are a variety of different finishes and materials, including concrete, pigmented polymer and resin, but all use the same light-pipe technology to create shimmering, randomly flickering and glowing patterns of light and dark.  In the Scintilla range, shown below, light-conducting channels are carved into a block of polymer which creates shifting and rippling light in response to movement.  Sensitile
