It IS expensive for a universal. Expensive enough that you’ll wonder if a lower-tier custom would be more bang for buck. Although the K3003 takes the crown for “most expensive universal IEM.” in the general scheme of things the price of the IE 800 is still steep for a universal.

Check out the price of the recently released AKG K3003 universal IEM, way more $$$ than this.

That’s seriously expensive for a universal IEM, and stepping into custom IEM territory. Who knows, this is Sennheiser so it may be worth it. Still, the cable should definitely be detachable at this price point, even if it is made of kevlar and is indestructible or whatever. Also not a huge fan of the black/green color scheme.
