There’s nothing wrong with listening to music while on the go. It’s a great diversion and distraction from things like a long commute, a walk or a long wait in a line. But wearing headphones or earbuds can block out too much of the world sometimes and cause accidents.

That’s why these concept headphones by Seohyun Baek are such a great idea. The Semi-Circle Headphones make it so you can listen to music without blocking out background noise. This way, you are always aware of what’s going on around you.

The semi-circle shape makes it so noise is not blocked out and are actually more comfortable to wear for long periods. To listen, all you have to do is plug in a transmitter into your PMP’s headphone jack and the Bluetooth receiver in the earbuds will pick up the signal. The wireless connection makes for a wire-free experience. Unfortunately, these headphones are only a concept right now, but their high level of practicality could see them through to production.
