One thing I would like to point out, regarding the photos here. You don’t HAVE to color everything. You can have very nice bright white lighting, if that’s what you want. But LEDs give you a lot more control over the color of your light, and Dean’s showing off a bit here, it looks like.

Quite effectively; it all looks nice. But I’m in the process of moving to LED lights myself. (I was prompted to try again by this “net zero energy” thing, where he took a practical response to his circumstance and turned it into an effective publicity stunt!). This time, I’ve actually gotten my hands on some LED lighting locally. I’m going with nice mid-white colors.
