You’re looking at a smartphone right here still running Android 2.3 Gingerbread in 2012, which does not give us a whole lot of confidence about its future, even though it does also have 1GB of RAM inside and a lovely 8-megapixel camera on the back. You get a microSD card slot for 32GB of memory expansion if you wish, 16Gb of internal storage, and a 1.3-megapixel camera on the front. This smartphone’s single-core 1.6Ghz processor does have some explosive potential (or Medfield does once it reaches dual-core, of course), but here isn’t truly living up to what we’d expect out of a competitor for such titans as the HTC One series of the Samsung Galaxy S III. Instead what we’ve got is an extremely safe design with not a whole lot of pazazz other than the microHDMI port along the side and two speakers on either side of the base.

Above you’ll see Quadrant Standard being run on this smartphone as well. No records being broken here! Expect more out of alternate manufacturers, folks, as this smartphone isn’t going to break any molds any time soon. Have a peek!

Start your journey down accessories way with none other than the folks who brought you the PowerBag with the myCharge extended battery lineup 2012 refresh in full hands-on fashion. A brand new company you’re going to want to keep your eyes on is NEXGEN Skins for their dimensional gadget coverings of all kinds – a completely new solution! During the second of two big keynote presentations, VISA President John Partridge brought on the accessories talk as he announced that they’d “moved beyond” NFC for their mobile payments across the earth – they’ll still use NFC of course, but it’s bigger than all that!

One device that sort of bridges the gap between device and accessory is the Jabra Supreme UC Bluetooth headset with its flip-up microphone and noise cancellation in droves. Energizer brought on some multi-power chargers with clamps and lights. On the truly thin side, Digipower ChargeCard mini powerpacks stole the mini side of the show.

In what was easily the most impressive display of the show, Tech21 and their “Impactology” brought on a hammer to the goo – and tossed an iPhone against a wall to boot! The fashion forward folks at Moshi brought the Moshi iGlaze Versacover to the show to show everyone what it means to take an Apple design to the next level – believe it or not!

Otterbox brought their A-game with a collection of new cases for the HTC One series and DROID Incredible 4G the same day it was announced! AT&T brought us to a house where they had a whole array of accessories brought together to form the Voltron of home automation systems: AT&T Digital Life in person! SuperTooth came on strong with some brand new SuperTooth Bluetooth Melody Headphones in a lovely shade of purple.

We saw a cool new in-car Clarion Next Gate iPhone dashboard controller with tap-tastic features onboard a 7-inch display. The folks at HzO Waterblock Hydrophobic smartphone coatings showed us what it really means to be waterproof. And the hits just kept on coming! These applications work with one another in a variety of ways, but what you’ll find in the following videos more than anything is that they’ve each got their own very unique way of helping you move about the world in your vehicle, with public transport, or on foot. Starting off with a couple of applications that have been out for a while but certainly warrant another look as they’re touted as value points for the whole Nokia lineup in smartphone stores around the world. This application allows you to see a virtual reality world of locations all around you in several ways – hold it in portrait mode and you see a list, hold it in landscape mode and you see points around you mapped in real life via your camera, or hold your phone flat to see a flat map!

Then there’s a BONUS! Have a peek here at an extension of this suite of apps in the feature “My Commute.” This feature will be appearing inside the second quarter of 2012 on Windows Phones and will appear as a Live Tile that learns from your driving patterns and tells you how long your route will take on any given day. This application will allow you an intense range of abilities as far as touchscreen editing of your photos goes, and right here on the 10.1-inch display of the Transformer Prime, there’s no greater place to make it happen on Android! Have a peek at how well this pre-release version of the software is working here during CTIA 2012 in Barcelona.

The developers at Nik have been working with the NVIDIA crew to bring on the Snapseed app to the Android market on the Tegra 3 first and foremost, this processor being an ideal entry point for the app as it’s got all the power the app will ever need. The app wont necessarily be released on the Tegra Zone as many of the Tegra-optimized games are as it really isn’t a game when it comes down to it, but it will certainly be released to the Google Play App Store soon!

This new set of battery packs all have the cords you need right onboard. This is different from the majority of the battery packs from other companies out there in the wild and even improves on the previous generation of myCharge batteries as well. The king of this new range of devices, the Peak 6000, has the ability to charge three devices at one time, here with an Apple connector, a microUSB connector, a USB charger, and a USB port onboard.

The Peak 6000 has a monstrous 6000 mAh of power storage onboard, while the Summit has 3000 mAh and the Trek has 2000 mAh, and yes, you guessed it, the Journey and the Quest both have 1000 mAh onboard. Both the Summit and the Peak have wall chargers that charge up the battery at twice the rate that a USB would, while the Trek 2000 has the added bonus of a fold-out Apple dock – that’s the unit you see at the head of this post.

This lineup is about to be available this summer from a variety of outlets as well as straight through mychargepower.com – the company’s online store where you can order direct. The next generation of SwiftKey will be a perfected version of what we’ve been working with over the past few weeks, that being SwiftKey 3 – currently still in Beta. Any user who wishes to participate in a beta download and test can do so by heading to the VIP Community at SwiftKey. This community is exactly what SwiftKey’s community manager Evan Tapper spoke with us about today.

Next we spoke with Joe Braidwood about how important the VIP community is and what it does for the end user. He uses an example of SwiftKey 3′s Smart Space feature. With this feature you’re able to type one word and start another without adding a space yourself, one then added for you automatically. This space is added intelligently by the software itself and takes more than just a wink and a nudge to program in, of course.

This device is the first HTC smartphone on the market outside the HTC One series to feature the HTC ImageSense chip. If you’ll remember back to launch of the HTC One S and HTC One X, this chip is its own separate chipset outside the main processor in the device, here dedicated to the camera exclusively. The Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 dual-core processor is the chipset that powers the majority of this smartphone’s functions, but it also has architecture dedicated to the processing of photos as well.

With the HTC ImageSense chip in combination with the Snapdragon S4, you’ve got a powerhouse for photography as well as video that’s as strong as any other smartphone on the market. Aside from that, you’ve got a 4.7-inch 1280 x 720 pixel resolution display, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, and HTC Sense 4.0 over the top. What you’ll see here in our first encounter with NEXGEN Skins is a set of items they’ve created for the launch, ranging from the iPad 3 to BlackBerry smartphones of all kinds back up to the Apple Thunderbolt Display. As you can see in the gallery below, the folks at NEXGEN Skins are wasting no time showing off the versatility of their method. Have a look with NEXGEN Skins Director Cameron Faulds as he gives us a tour of this launching point for the company.

These skins will begin to be available relatively soon, with your ability to request skins of all kinds launching along with the site right along with the delivery of their up and coming online store. At the launch here you’ll be able to choose from a variety of 3D skins including tribal markings, lovely lady faces, and the king of spades – each of these fairly general of course, but ripe with potential for dimensional interaction. “Spotify thinks of itself as a platform,” said Ek, “our first big step being integration with Facebook.” March 2012 there were 1.5 billion shares from Spotify to Facebook, with 50 billion impressions – this of course showing the power of platform integration, so notes Ek. Expanding with Spotify Apps and delicious applications on the Spotify platforms as Sounddrop – which in the slide you see in the gallery below shows License to Ill, a move which we must assume is in honor of the recent death of MCA (RIP).

Ek noted how the Spotify Play Button as well as the Spotify for iPad release have been received extremely well, with a whole batch of devices also being inside the Spotify network right now with a bunch on the way as well. Consider this a siren call to Pandora who just this week has been knocking on Spotify’s door, so to speak, with numbers climbing quick.

This V.me platform has users “removing the friction” with mobile payment, with just a name and a password required for making transactions. Starting with eCommerce, working with mobile, and accessing payments in person. In the very near future you’ll be seeing the V.me by Visa checkout logo for mobile payments across the USA. “We are uniquely equipped to handle mobile commerce,” said Partridge, “equipped to handle transactions in real time.”

VISA here, says Partridge, is able to do instant checks on fraud, seeing the future in which “mobile payments are a part of every day life.” To do this, Partridge has noted that security is at the forefront, because “without trust, a payment system cannot thrive.” The future of commerce according to VISA is “a world where people use mobile phones, tablets, and other electronic devices to handle their money.”

EA Games make games that “can make or break consoles” noted Riccitiello, “we were number 1 for iOS in 2011 as the highest growing publisher on the app store” and “it’s a little harder to gauge how we’re doing on Android, but we think we’re number one there too.” Speaking on how the average mobile user spends 46 minutes a day playing games and 16 minutes talking, he pushed the power of games with several statistics that also included the fact that games are the number 1 monetization tool for Facebook and comparable social networks around the world.

Projecting the future of mobile gaming to be a $44 billion dollar industry by 2014, Riccitiello noted that the in-game payment system of “Freemium” is playing a giant part in this move. “Freemium is taking the mobile world by storm” noted Riccitiello, with “ten times the number of mobile platforms than there are gaming consoles” making this a heavily lucrative business. All of this will be pushing a future where the fact that pushing a CPU to any device creates an environment where gaming can exist – and where “games will dominate” as he says.

The future is in television, once again, he says, as TVs gain CPUs that work to create a smart environment and the gaming industry pushes their fabulous brands across any and all platforms they can work with. “YouTube didn’t destroy television and mobile gaming will not kill the console” said Riccitiello, promising that it wont be one or the other that wins, but both.

The best example of this may well be FIFA Soccer and the EA Football club. EA games notes that they’ve currently got FIFA running strong on 13 different gaming environments. That’s an achievement that speaks to the future of gaming as well as brand power, without a doubt.

Web 2.0 was the “Shift to open” that happened when the rest of the web-based world started to expand extremely quickly. We’re at a new expansion point now, said Kovacs, and at this new “shift to open” we’re in trouble. In trouble because there are more than just a few walls being put up between us, the users across the earth, and we’ve got to break through. To move through this wall, we’ve got to work with the mobile world of browsing first and foremost, said Kovacs in so many words, with the following projection in-line: 50% of the web browsing world being mobile by 2017.

The time we spend using mobile apps as opposed to apps on non-mobile hardware, noted Kovacs, is 64% in favor of mobile. “Apps are now displaying the web, they’re the new way we get on the web.” One of the reasons we browse the web the way we do in the mobile world, said Kovacs, was that “Apple showed us the way, they showed us what to do.” This pointing toward the way the iPhone shows the web, showing next that Firefox is attempting to break down the trend of “shrinkage” in the mobile world. “I know we can do better” said Kovacs, pointing to no less than HTML 5.

With HTML5, said Kovacs, we’ll be able to have a common platform for innovation. Though there are many companies innovating for many platforms, he noted, we need more, and more, and more. Mozilla will be a piece of this puzzle, but it certainly wont be the only one!

We’re likely to hear some announcements today on how Firefox is innovating on the software front, how Spotify will be expanding across several new platforms with their ever-growing music platform, and how VISA will be working with mobile payments to make the mobile world a place where payments for everyday items are a reality.

Check the timeline below for the newest stories coming from Electronic Arts – EA Games has been under some fire recently for their treatment of the mobile world of games, but we’re guessing this won’t be addressed at length here today. We’ll see though, as speakers at CTIA are supposed to keep it real with pushing the wireless world forward in each and every way, even in the world of mobile games. The action starts immediately if not soon!

This headset will be coming out next month from Jabra to add to their excellent lineup of Bluetooth and USB speakers out in the states already. What you’ve got here is a Bluetooth-connected earpiece, both a speaker for your ear and a microphone, that is, complete with some next-level noise cancellation. The noise cancellation we’re told is able to work for both you and the person you’re speaking with on the other end of the phone – if you’re using this headset to speak with a friend via your Bluetooth-capable phone, that is.

There’s a talk button, an easy to use attachment bit to hold this device to your ear, and an on-off switch that couldn’t be more intuitive. To switch this device off, just fold up the microphone bar to the speaker. This will also make the device more compact and able to fit in the tiny case that comes with it. Also coming with the pack is a USB dongle that’ll fit into your device that’s not normally able to work with Bluetooth, converting the signal to work instantly for you and yours.

This device is set to be released for $149 estimated retail price very, very soon. Grab it!

Energizer’s new universal multi-port charger shown below comes in multiple sizes, but we were taking a look at the 5,000 mAh model that will be priced at $75.99. This will charge that smartphone of yours completely dead to 100% almost 4 times, or more if you’re one of those “I’m halfway empty, time to charge” type of people. It has dual USB ports for charging multiple devices at once, and one offers a higher output for tablet support.

Energizer’s equipped the top with 3 blue LED’s that double as charging and battery status indicator lights. One tap will give you a battery status report, and long press powers on the device for charging. Then from there the LED’s will show charging status as your battery fills up. This is nothing new, we’ve seen similar products many times before but another affordable and portable battery pack is always welcome in my travel bag.

The blue magnetic cable clips shown in the pictures is also a nice touch although makes the device appear more bulky than it really is. They they help keep that cable clutter to a minimum. Again these come in multiple sizes and the 5,000 mAh model shown here will retail starting this month for $75.99 for those interested in a little extra juice for their gadgets.

The all new Digipower Chargecard will power your Android or micro-USB smartphone for hours, or give you an extra charge when you’re in need — without hurting your wallet. When we say the ChargeCard won’t hurt your wallet you can see what we mean from the pictures. Not only is it extremely small and portable being barely bigger than a credit card — small enough to fit in your wallet, but it also won’t break the bank either as they’re only asking $29 for this neat little battery pack.

The tiny and portable ChargeCard is actually a 680 mAh rechargeable battery and takes about 45 minutes to fully charge, from their you can power your smartphone for hours, or about 1/3rd a full charge. It’s not the biggest battery pack in terms of charging capacity, but the small size and price makes up for the difference. They claim it will give you a full hour of talk time, but for someone just using their phone through the day it should give you at least a few more solid hours of usage.

Check for these to hit stores such as RadioShack sometime this month or early June.

What you’re looking at is a near-complete set of software and hardware from Toshiba on this tablet which is still set for a Summer release here in the USA. We’ll likely see a smaller spread as far as how many units will actually be available on the market, but the device itself will more than likely see some really avid hacker and developer attention on an underground tip. This device currentl;y runs Android 4.0.3 and has a very light Toshiba set of features on top in the form of applications only.

Toshiba has included their own Media Player here which allows you to connect with several other kinds of devices and has the ability to make this device exactly what it looks like – a movie-watching masterpiece. How you feel with a full-sized display sitting in your lap is totally up to you, of course, but we’ll be experimenting with the possibilities of bursting forth Angry Birds as big as our fingertips. Or perhaps with just a bit bigger environments – much improved gaming!

Obviously we all should know plenty about this impressive new phone from Samsung already. That being the 4.8-inch 720×1280 resolution Super AMOLED HD display, and the powerful quad-core processor that keeps Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and Samsung’s TouchWiz user interface as fast as ever. In today’s hands-on you’ll see a few software side improvements that make “the next galaxy” just that much better.

Snapping a photo is a breeze with the 8 megapixel camera, then from there with Samsung’s personalized TouchWiz gallery you can tag a photo using their facial recognition, then every photo you’ve snapped of your girlfriend, wife, or friends will instantly be recognized and tagged. From there you can instantly call people from a photo, send them a message, or even tweet the image and more. All these little changes are a small part of what will make the Galaxy S III unique, yet powerful in more ways than just a spec sheet.

Then we also got a brief video showing the unlock features Samsung has also added. Just like Android 4.0 ICS and the camera unlock shortcut, or HTC’s Sense UI where you can quickly launch apps from the lockscreen Samsung has integrated the same options. Instantly opening the dialer for a call, camera to snap quick photos of those special moments, or anything else the user would like. I’ll personally have Yahoo! Sports and Twitter on my quick list.

This first of several demonstrations (we’ve got more!) shows the power of the material itself in its most orange and goo-like state. Have a peek at what Roberts has to show us as he dunks his own hands into a container full of D30 and shows off the goo in its undeniably impact resistant state. This material is used in a whole range or products manufactured by Tech21, many of which are available on the market right this second – several new models are on the way as well, too!

Tech21′s vat of goop here is just a show of power, while the real deal sits both around the rim of your phone and above and below your notebook computer, tablet, and more. Tech21‘s implementation of D30 exists in cases made for Apple products, BlackBerry, Huawei, HTC, Nokia, and Samsung at this very moment, with a whole lot more coming down the pipeline soon! This 10-inch 1280 x 800 resolution tablet comes with an impressive Qualcomm 1.7GHz MSM8960 dual-core Krait processor with 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, and a micro-SD for expanded storage. Another thing here is the tri-band HSPA+ and full quad-band 4G LTE radios on board. The tablet looked like a final design and was running on Android 4.0.3 ICS, and those 4G LTE radios should work great with AT&T’s new LTE network.

With a solid design, impressive specs, 4G LTE capabilities and a nice aluminum design around back the tablet was quite decent — although we’d love for it to be slightly thinner if possible. The build quality was durable and strong too. Android 4.0.3 ICS was completely stock with no changes whatsoever from ZTE, but that could change if this comes to the US with a 4G LTE carrier such as AT&T.

While there was nothing extremely unique to this tablet that other 4.0 tablets don’t offer, the faster 1.7 GHz dual-core processor could be what puts potential buyers over the edge to make the plunge.

We got Moshi’s Jenniver Kurtz to speak with us about the product line as a whole first, then specifically about the iPad case – she noting that this case also works perfectly well with the rest of their iPad casing line. This line of devices is made to take the world of accessories to a whole new place, specifically well-designed for the user who desires uniqueness in their peripherals. The Versacover is not yet available on the market, but you can have a peek at it here:

The rest of the device you’ll see in the gallery below. The unnamed Apple mobile device-capable charger you see is not yet available on the market and works with a press of the button in its center, rolling up its cords as you do so. The iPads you see Kurtz point to in the video are part of the vast collection of Moshi’s iPad-capable protective gear. Finally the earbuds can be found in Moshi’s online market along with the rest of the company’s lovely and fashionable line of products – SOON! The page you’ll be linked to there is one of the few “coming soon” laden pieces of the Moshi site, this along with the other new items you see above. Can’t wait to check em all out!

Kyocera isn’t a widely know brand or name, but have been producing budget phones for a long time. Now with a few impressive ICS phones they are looking to jump back into action, most likely from Regional carriers such as Virgin Mobile or Cricket Wireless. Announced earlier today by Kyocera, we were able to grab some quality hands-on with the new phones

The more impressive of the two, the Kyocera Rise comes equipped with a low-res 480×320 3.5-inch display, a Qualcomm single-core processor, 512MB of RAM, and a 3.2 megapixel camera complete with Android 4.0 ICS for the operating system. They’ve uniquely added the same ICS interface buttons, only they are capacitive and not on-screen like many others. It should be available in the second half of the year although pricing and carriers were not yet available. The overall design and build quality was quite decent, as was the typing experience on the slide-out QWERTY keyboard, but we expect this to clearly come in at a budget-friendly price given the specs.

Next up was the new Hydro from Kyocera. This being their water-resistant offering that will also be geared for the budget crowd. If you were waiting for a high-end smartphone from Kyocera that day still has yet to come. With almost the exact same specs as the Rise — only without the QWERTY keyboard — the Hydro offers the same 3.5-inch display with a 320×480 resolution, 1 GHz single-core processor from Qualcomm, 512MB of RAM and 2GB of internal storage out of the gate with an optional micro-SD slot for extra storage.

Again the Hydro is running on a basically stock vanilla version of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, and we expect it to also arrive in the second half of 2012. Check out the pictures and more details from the gallery and links below.

This router is able to connect to 20 wireless devices with Wifi at once, while 4G LTE speeds are delivered throughout your home all day long. Because the devices delivering these signals are stationary, you’ll get better reception of these signals than you’ve ever had before, and you’ll be able to pick the whole system up on the 3rd of May. This whole ecosystem has been launched across the nation in 230 markets already with more to come.

When it comes down to it, you’ll likely set these devices up and never need to access them again. That said, they do look relatively un-assuming so they’ll integrate with whatever your home looks like right out of the box – no worries! HTC has integrated what you see here in the HTC One S smartphone specifically, touting this as one of their hero phone lineup’s greatest features in that you no longer need a case to keep your smartphone damage-free. Speaking from experience, this process of cutting the metal with such precision then applying the electricity process they’ve got to it takes away the majority of the damage the device would then receive in your everyday life – aside from a couple of dings on the top of the One S I carry around daily today, this smartphone is blemish-free.

The HTC One S is thus far the only HTC device to go through this process, and it is also indeed the only smartphone in the world to go through this process as well. Just like its sibling on AT&T the EVO 4G LTE comes with an impressive 4.7-inch display with a 1280 x 720p resolution, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, HTC’s Sense UI 4.0 overlay, an 8 megapixel camera on the rear with the HTC Imagechip for enhanced photos — all powered by Qualcomm’s impressive 1.5 GHz S4 dual-core processor and 1GB of RAM. The quick video below will give you a better look at the hardware and software.

Just like the previous EVO, you’ll get that neat included kickstand for easy viewing of videos and photos, as well as watching back video recorded with the 1080p capable 8 megapixel rear camera. Just like the others from the HTC One series the EVO 4G LTE comes with a non replaceable battery, it’s 2,000 mAh and has 16GB of internal storage.

Pre-orders for the new EVO 4G LTE started yesterday, and it should be available starting May 18th from the Now Network.

These devices come to us from all the way over the sea, our last look at them having been during MWC 2012 in Barcelona. What we’re seeing here is that the devices (both of them) are essentially the same as they were back then, with a few software tweaks here and there on their way to the market here in the USA. At the moment, as you might well know, both of these devices are out in Europe – though we’re also yet to hear from LG on how well they’re selling.

You’ll find that these devices are made for the consumer market looking for either one gigantic screen or one gigantically powerful smartphone – remember that the LG Optimus 4X HD has the NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor inside, complete with 4-PLUS-1 technology along with it.

As Flood noted earlier in the keynote, “85% of the world’s money transactions are made in cash and checks” – still! This is a shocking figure when just this morning we also heard (in this same keynote) that there are more people holding mobile phones today in the world than there are people with electricity or running water. Tapping here without the need for hitting your wallet is what’s being shown, and with only a tap here and there is what MasterCard is showing as the future.

Interestingly enough, slides throughout this presentation showed devices behind text that were slightly outdated. This is likely because these images are easier to license than the newest NFC-laden smartphones, but there’s something strange about seeing the original RAZR up with the future of mobile payments. Genachowski spoke this week on the future of the mobile working with his four tenants of power for its success: innovation, investment, competition, and consumers. To get the most out of our current toolkit, noted Genachowski, we would have to work with “the next generation of wireless policy.” Genachowski made sure to let the world know that “reports of spectrum’s demise have been greatly exaggerated” and that the FCC is moving ahead with actions that will make expansion of spectrum across the United States a reality in more ways than one.

As he spoke on all of this, he let it be known on a mobile data-connected iPad – either 2nd or 3rd generation, he spoke on how the mobile industry needed to work in an environment where wireless carriers all had access to spectrum in ways that were equitable and fair. “Small cells are a big deal” he noted, as the “small cell revolution” will drive band expansion and power through the future.

This note has “mobile broadband changing the world for the better” as Genachowski sees it, noting that also it’s American designs and services that are leading the world industry in this sector. Deploying 64% of mobile 4G LTE in the world, being the first in the world to free up “white spaces” for unlicensed use, and on the whole expanding at a rate that Genachowski says is faster than the whole rest of the world, this is the greatness of the United States.

“We must recognize that these successes are creating new challenges.” The demand for mobile services, he noted, is expanding at a rate that’s much faster than spectrum will allow. As Genachowski makes clear here, “all Americans have access wherever they are” only if we’re able to start moving a whole lot quicker on expanding mobile broadband services. The mobile industry moves on a focus on consumers, innovation, and investment – Genachowski has mad no qualms with the “free market system” this week at CTIA.

In a rather interesting display, Green Bay Packers fan Riordan several times spoke about how he desired a Packers Superbowl ring – this representing the next generation of wireless power and reliability. To crown off this dedication to expansion and the fair distribution of wireless power to all carriers, Riordan tossed a Packers-branded football into the audience. Imagine that!

This keynote will continue to reveal the CTIA and FCC’s dedication to the wireless industry, next up is Julius Genachowski who has dubbed this event “Geek Fest.” Stay tuned to our CTIA 2012 portal for more information all week long!

This mobile event will play host to several players in the industry, but here in talks with the FCC we’ll see how it all begins. The application you’re about to take a peek at here will be released for both iPhone and Android in the very near future as the 2012 Ford Focus Electric hits the streets. You’ll find this application remote starting the vehicle, checking the battery life it’s got at the moment, and projecting your plans for the vehicle with its given power in the near future. This application is like seeing the guts of your car without having to open it up – and controlling how they act with a tap as well.

You get remote charging status updates, locations of nearby charging stations, and displays of items such as your amount of CO2 emissions at any given time. That’s some scary stuff when you actually know, literally, how much you’re polluting the earth. But such is life, and so too will you learn how to be better about keeping the earth green – with this app and this vehicle, too!

Note that this app comes with a 5 year subscription, after which you’ll have to pay subscription fees which have not yet been announced. The vehicle itself also has several in-laid controls and touch panels that we’re going to be able to get a closer look at later this week. Seeya then! First we’ll start with the HTC One series. Otterbox has a new line of cases for both the international and AT&T HTC One X, as well as the T-Mobile HTC One S, in both the durable defender series, and their lightweight commuter model. The Commuter on the S shown above (right) has a soft inner shell protected by a durable and lightweight plastic skeleton to cover all the right places, then the Defender model on the One X is as durable as they come and you can see why with the included pics.

Next OtterBox is already ahead of the pack and have just shown us a few cases for the new DROID Incredible 4G LTE, announced earlier today by Verizon and becoming available soon. Otterbox will be offering multiple cases from all their series for the Incredible 4G when it launches later this month.

Along with the One series and the Incredible 4G LTE OtterBox also had a couple new cases for the Samsung Galaxy Note, and even a neat new translucent Reflex series for the iPhone 4S coming in multiple colors while still showing off that Apple style with a see-through design.

While pricing and exact release dates weren’t available we can expect the HTC One cases to be available soon, and the Incredible 4G LTE cases to launch along with the device soon. Check out all the pictures below.

The device itself feels as if we’re holding the HTC One S with a bit of rubber skin around it – there’s nothing like holding a DROID Incredible, unless of course it’s got an HTC One on the inside. This device offers up Sense 4.0 over Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich and by all means does up the ante on the whole Incredible line. The display is extremely bright, very similar to the HTC One series as far as hot close to the surface the image does appear and the viewing angles you get here take the cake away from the rest of the Incredible series. The big difference here between the HTC One S and the DROID Incredible 4G LTE is the width of the display and the thickness of the Incredible.

That said, the technology you’ll find in this device far surpasses that of the rest of the DROID Incredible series. In other words, if you’re on the fence about sticking with your DROID Incredible 2 and moving up to this next-level smartphone, you’d better not hold it – you wont be able to resist. You’ve got a microSD card slot on top of it all, something the rest of the HTC One series does not have, a 4-inch super LCD qHD display to match the rest of the HTC One crew, and it’s all running on Verizon’s 4G LTE network for speed. Hands-on with the DROID Incredible 4G LTE:

We got the opportunity to check out this new system as it was applied in this home in the kitchen, the den, and the living room. What we’re seeing here is an extremely easy to use system with a drag-and-drop interface and connections to any and all of the electronics you’ve got in your home. In its most simple form, this means you can flip the lights on from your iPad. At its most powerful, AT&T Digital Life is able to protect your home from intruders with sensors that activate all the lights in your home, send out a massively loud sound to blast the eardrums of that intruder, and phone you or the authorities right there on the spot.

This service will be working with a combination of Wifi, wired ethernet, and Z-Wave technology as well as 3G where applicable. You’ll be working with window and door sensors for intruders, smoke and carbon monoxide detectors for more protection from the elements, and everything from thermostats to appliance power controls on the fly. You’ll have the ability to activate door locks, turn up your heat or chill the house down from your iPad, and keep your home green with moisture and power sensors of all kinds.

You can even start a fire up – supposing you’ve got an electric-start fireplace, of course. This whole system is projected to be released sometime in the near future, but that’s all AT&T is willing to reveal thus far. We’ll get pricing and final release dates soon!

These headphones have on-phone controls including play, pause, stop, previous track, and next track, and are ready to take on your mobile life with a battery that takes just 2.5 hours to charge up fully. These headphones are coming out in a variety of colors and are also capable of working as a wireless headset – the holes you see at the bottom of each phone is a microphone (as you’ll see in the hands-on video below.) Calling the Clarion Next Gate an iPhone companion is pretty accurate. The system is pretty much inactive until it’s connected to an iPhone and then it comes to life. Once connected it uses iOS apps and programs to bring you all the entertainment you’d like — all while being safe of course. Once connected the iPhone becomes useless, as a cautionary measure, and everything is handled on the Clarion Next Gate and its smart access system.

With a 7-inch Capacitive touch display users can control everything with the touchscreen, although it’s recommended to use voice actions such as Apple’s Siri. You can launch Pandora Radio, make a call, or speak with Siri all with the touch of a button, but obviously you’ll want to use voice-actions as much as possible for your safety as well as other drivers.

The display is only 480×800 in resolution so this isn’t a retina quality display, but it does convert all your favorite iOS apps to a convenient and easy to use car-friendly user interface. Obviously Clarion doesn’t want you playing Angry Birds on the go, but the Next Gate currently has around 15 or so applications such as Pandora Radio, Odyssey Navigation, Facebook4car (FB4Car) and Vlingo. Clarion expects more to be available when the product launches in early June for $269. For now this is a windshield mounted device but Clarion has multiple in-dash devices in the pipeline coming soon — including Android options. For $269 would you get the Next Gate, or just opt to use your iPhone manually?

Like similar products available on the market HzO offers “protection from the inside” model with a nano-scale film barrier applied to the entire device during the actual manufacturing process to ensure the device is fully covered. HzO’s chemically bonded compound is applied to the innards of the devices and allows for full protection without the need of bulky cases. The video below explains things best by HzO themselves.

What separates HzO and their Waterblock formula from the others is not only the fact that it’s hydrophobic, but it also is deployed up to 100 times thicker than similar water-resistant coatings from other companies. What this essentially means is the devices are more than just water-resistant, they are almost water-proof as you can see they are calmly sitting completely submerged for the video, and all evening long.
