LG has unveiled the Chromebase, an all-in-one system sporting a 21.5-inch Full HD display and running Chrome OS. LG points towards this as being a world's first type of device, but more to the point, this should provide a solid option for someone who is looking to run Chrome OS, but wants to avoid a notebook. The LG Chromebase is available in black and a multi-color white and silver option.

T-Mobile: Our LTE is faster, and AT&T needs to stop saying otherwise

T-Mobile has been talking Wideband LTE at CES, with early trials showing 147 Mbps downloads, while real-time tests of the carrier's existing 4G network are already out-performing AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint. The carrier is using Speedtest.net results for a more timely indication of how T-Mobile's 4G compares to that of rivals. Meanwhile CEO John Legere ramped up his war with AT&T with the promise of a Cease & Desist letter.

T-Mobile Un-carrier 4.0: “Get Out of Jail Free Card” for network switchers

T-Mobile USA has launched its "Un-carrier 4.0" phase, with outspoken CEO John Legere taking to the stage at CES 2014 to announce a "Get Out of Jail Free Card" to allow subscribers on rival networks to escape the early-termination fee and join his network. The carrier will pay off the ETF for AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint customers, as well as take their old phone as a trade-in, for what T-Mobile says is worth up to $650 per line. Meanwhile, there's a new set of smartphones too.

ZTE unveiled a full range devices during the show, including their first phablet and their entry in the the wearable space. Those were the Iconic Phablet and the BlueWatch. The team at Mionix can never be called out for not taking their time with a product - certainly not in the case of the Mionix NASH 20 headset. Here we’re seeing a pair of headphones with a mic that were originally scheduled to be released last year - here at CES 2014, we’re seeing them in their final form for the first time. For an idea of how high-end these cans sound right this minute, Mionix points toward the meaning of NASH: “according to Arabic mythology, NASH is an Arrowhead, which is a suitable name for a top class gaming headset with superior precision and sharp sound.”
