Well part of my comment was a joke, but you’re right, I didn’t realize that is what they were doing with the information. I already have a credit-lock (or whatever it’s called) on my SSN. Hopefully that would help should someone try and use my info.

You missed the point they don’t use your exisitng credit card they steal your identity and create fake credit card in your name. the down side for you is your your creditt rating will get destroyed.

Entire system is rigged! After getting my big bank account looted by MF global I realized the entire banking system is not a very safe place no matter what anyone says! Hackers (glitches) are everywhere, I thought it could never happen to me, keep an open mind and anything can happen? Money on the internet just disappears so fast, once it is gone it is gone!

Discover and my bank got hacked and looted all my accounts, ran through my cash until the fees started mounting! I had to call discover and unlink my credit card from my bank account. There was a notice in my bank account saying there was a glitch, but I don’t recall getting any money back. Finally got back to zero!LOL thanks banks! Oh the fees, oh the horror!

Wow, after having to re-issue my credit cards twice already in the last two years, this makes me nervous. Maybe I should max my cards out on new electronics…that’ll make it impossible for them to use my numbers, right?
