Apple on track for 12m new iPad sales in March alone says analyst

Apple could be on course to sell 12 million new iPads by the end of the quarter, analysts have predicted, with the strong early sales in the opening weekend leading to ambitious estimates for the coming weeks. "Apple has sold ~750,000 new iPads per day since launch on Friday" UBS analyst Maynard Um wrote in an investor note today, AllThingsD reports, going on to suggest that at such a rate 12m sales aren't out of the question. However, Um also warns that there could still be a fly in Apple's ointment. XtremeMac Tango TRX Review

The iPod dock by the name of XtremeMac Tango TRX has been out for some time now, having been first announced all the way back in 2010, but it’s no worse for wear with the 2011 holiday season rapidly approaching, and since we’ve never had a look at it before and there’s a brand new bit of functionality now with Google Music out of beta, let’s have a look, shall we? This device comes with several parts – first being the main speaker complete with iPod dock which can house anything from the tiniest iPod to the iPad 2, though I wouldn’t recommend the latter as it does block a bit of the sound blast and isn’t exactly held the most securely in place. Then there’s the bit that makes this whole thing unique: the second docking station, one that allows you to charge the device on one side of the house while the speaker jams music out at the other.

Apple reportedly hosts TSMC to discuss ousting Samsung

TSMC has reportedly dispatched a delegation of execs and engineers to Apple's Cupertino campus to discuss potential manufacturing deals for the upcoming Apple A6 processor and other chips, as Apple attempts to reduce its dependence on Samsung. The 60-strong team is expected to discuss patent issues and TSMC's 28nm production process, DigiTimes' sources tip them, following reports back in September that the manufacturer had already clinched a foundry partnership agreement with Apple. Google Stock Cap up $20 BILLION Amid G+ Opening

The market cap for Google’s GOOG-tagged stock grew $20 BILLION in the past week – can you guess why? Investors have certainly thrown in their 2 cents into the believing in Google+ party the past few days, starting on June 27th, the stock closed at $482.80 – on July 7th, the stock has reached $546.60 – that’s a $20.6 billion gain to the market cap (with 322.25 million hares outstanding), as Techcrunch notes. There was also a bit of a dip on Friday, possibly pointing toward a peak the day before.
