Zumba Fitness dance exercise video game Hands-on [Video]

, Sep 19th 2011 Discuss [0]

Ever since we first heard of systems like the Wii and the Xbox 360 Kinect, we though gosh, that’d be awesome to utilize for exercise games. Imagine that, this is exactly what happened. But here’s the thing: development is slow if you compare the exercise game ecosystem with games of basically every other type. There’s been some games for the Wii Balance Board, the Wii Fit has seen some action, but what about Xbox 360′s Kinect? How about the PlayStation Move? Is it just that gamers simply do not want to use their gaming systems to do work? Zumba Fitness isn’t the first game in history to make dancing and therefore exercise an enjoyable activity, but it’s certainly the most interesting to your humble narrator’s eyes in the past few weeks, that’s for sure.

Nintendo Wii Fit US launch: Video Unboxing & First Impressions

, May 21st 2008 Discuss [3]

Nintendo’s Wii Fit has finally launched in the US today, and we practically snatched it from the hands of the mailman (he’s pretty used to it) to shoot a video unboxing for you.  We’ll be attempting to recover our sense of balance and put the innovative controller through its paces for a review later, but hands-on first impressions are good.  Rated for up to 300lbs, the Wii Fit may be plastic but it feels sturdy and reassuring and the four non-slip feet are promising for use on wooden floors.

Europe set to get Wii Fit a month before the US

, Feb 21st 2008 Discuss [0]

I've said for some time that I feel bad for gamers that don't live in either the US or Japan. It seems like every other part of the world get shafted when it comes to game launches. However, it looks like Europe is actually going to get something before we do. They'll be getting the Wii Fit almost a month before the US. Read The Full Story

Nintendo admits Wii Fit isn’t supposed to make you fit

, Feb 15th 2008 Discuss [0]

I've always thought that naming a product has to be the easiest job in the world, as the name often reflects the purpose which the product serves. Take the Clapper, which works by clapping, or a doorstop which just happens to stop a door. So taking these into consideration, what do you think the Wii Fit is supposed to do? If you guessed “make you fit,” you're wrong. Read The Full Story

Wii Fit – Not for the obese

Attention potential Wii Fit owners: if you're over 300lbs, you need to find a new exercise game. Nintendo has just announced that the little white thing you stand on has a maximum weight limit, and 300lbs is the cut-off. I suppose that every device who's sole purpose is to be stood on has to have a weight limit, it just seems ironic when the device is being marketed as a fitness device. Read The Full Story

Wii Fit parody – It’s that little white thing you stand on

, Jul 19th 2007 Discuss [0]

I still think that the Wii Fit is a really cool device, even though I myself would likely never purchase or actually use one. Generally, when I'm going to spend some time playing games, I'm more looking for something with adventure and excitement, not exercise. As you might have guessed, I don't usually allot a certain part of my day strictly for exercise. Here's a slightly different, and hilarious look at the Wii Fit from the same guys that brought you the big ass table video.
