It should come as no surprise that we're continuing to see patent litigation here in the spring of 2012, especially when it has to do with mobile corporations like Nokia, HTC, RIM, and Viewsonic. What we've got here is Nokia taking the latter three manufacturers to court on several counts of patent infringement in so many locations around the earth you'll not know where to fly to see the whole shebang. Nokia sues HTC, RIM, and Viewsonic for patent infringement

Looks like Nokia isn’t content with playing fair and square in the US smartphone market. The company has just announced that it is filing suit against HTC, RIM, and Viewsonic for patent infringement. Nokia claims that the companies make use of 45 patents that belong to Nokia without a proper license. The Finnish smartphone manufacturer will be bringing the suit against the companies in the US and Germany.

ViewSonic ViewPhone 4s Hands-on

Mobile World Congress 2012 has already proven itself as one massive draw to manufacturers ability to announce a massive amount of smartphones at once this year, and ViewSonic is no exception to the rule, starting here with the ViewPhone 4s. This device is one of three dual-sim smartphones announced this week by the company, the others being the ViewPhone 5e with a few rounded edges and slightly lower-tiered specs, and the ViewPhone 4e, which essentially replicates the case of the 4s in most ways. The ViewPhone 4s has a Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, a cool two-tone set of casings, and a lovely 3.5-inch display running at 960 x 640 pixels resolution, this matching the iPhone's 326ppi IPS display. ViewSonic has outed its Mobile World Congress line-up of smartphones and tablets, and with the Android-powered ViewPhone 4s running a 3.5-inch 960 x 640 display it's clear the iPhone 4S is the company's key target. The ViewPhone 4s matches Apple's smartphone with a 326ppi IPS display, but squeezes in twin SIMs and a copy of Ice Cream Sandwich, along with a 5-megapixel camera and a front-facing VGA webcam.
