Verizon iPhone 4 Prices and Specs Listed [NOT LTE!]

We're live at the Verizon event today and we've got the prices now: $199 for 16GB model; $299 for 32GB model. This phone is due in stores February 10th - this is because they say they're trying to assure consumers their network capacity will deliver in the quality VZ consumers expect. Will we get to try out a review model today? Maybe - maybe not. That date might be too far out into outer space to have a review model on hand now.

Verizon iPhone 4 Announced

We're sitting inside (well, a couple of us are inside,) and we're waiting for the event to begin - this should happen momentarily. For not though, have a look at the few pics we've already snapped up and note that our main man Lowell C. McAdam is announcing the show. He says that Verizon is to bring their broadband power to all kinds of screens on all kinds of devices - that LTE will blanket the US in the next three years - that LTE amps up the speed by 10 and cuts latency in half. He notes that LTE is capable of meeting the needs of the most demanding media customers that that it puts Verison at the hub of the wheel of what is driving the industry.

White Verizon iPhone 4 Image Leaked?

Possibly, possibly not. The image you're about to set your eyes upon was leaked to Ahmed Omar of Covering Web today. In the image you'll see several things: first of all, it appears to be a white iPhone 4. No surprise. Then, it appears to show an improved iPhone 4 antenna design fixing the "Antennagate" problem. This is almost certainly going to be a feature whether this phone is real or not. Next, there's a lack of of a SIM card slot looking right at us (Verizon doesn't use SIM cards.) Then, what's that? Oh yes, there's a Verizon brand marking in the upper left hand corner of the screen.

Another day, another Verizon iPhone 4 rumor, and it seems DigiTimes aren't content with analysts muscling in on their supply chain sources.  They're claiming Pegatron will begin volume production of a CDMA iPhone 4 in November 2010 - a month earlier than Susquehanna Financial Group analyst Jeffrey Fidacaro suggested was the case - pumping out 3-4 million of the iOS smartphones in the first three months.

Verizon iPhone 4 rumors flourish as analyst tips CDMA manufacture in Dec 2010

The CDMA iPhone 4 rumors continue to circulate, with Susquehanna Financial Group analyst Jeffrey Fidacaro latest to speculate on the Verizon version of the Apple smartphone.  According to his latest investor note, his checks with overseas suppliers indicate Apple is on track to produce three million CDMA iPhone 4 handsets in December, with a launch likely to take place in early 2011.

Secret Apple factory for Foxconn-made Verizon iPhone 4 or antenna refresh rumored

The Verizon iPhone 4 rumor rears its head once more, with speculation that Apple is using a rented production line separate to their mainstream Foxconn facility to develop alternate versions of the fourth-generation smartphone.  The facility - which is being used while a new $100m production line is built - is currently staffed by over 500 Foxconn employees; Computerworld suggests that a CDMA iPhone 4 could be in development, however there's also the possibility of alternate antenna designs being explored.

Earlier this week it was reported that European carriers were stockpiling new nano-SIM cards after the standard had been approved by the ETSI. Speculation followed that Apple was preparing nano-SIM usage for the next iPhone, with one source even claiming that Apple had already designed the next iPhone around its own unapproved nano-SIM standard. Now BGR claims to have heard from carrier sources confirming that the next iPhone will indeed utilize nano-SIMs.

Following reports that the Motorola Droid Razr Maxx had surpassed Apple's iPhone 4S in sales at Verizon, another report by Canaccord Genuity analyst Michael Walkley says it isn't so. According to Walkley, the Apple iPhone 4S remains Verizon's top selling handset and has been the top selling handset at all major carriers for all of 2012 thus far.

Verizon shipped 4.2 million iPhones last quarter

During an event in SF, Verizon's Chief Financial Officer, Fran Shammo, revealed that the company had sold 4.2 million iPhones during the holiday quarter, reports Bloomberg. That number is more than double the 2 million iPhones the company sold in the previous quarter, when it was lagging behind AT&T, and also surpasses AT&T's all-time high of 4.1 million iPhones sold.

Verizon has announced its Q3 2011 financial results, confirming that around two million iPhone 4 handsets were activated during the three month period, and revealing that first-day iPhone 4S sales were so strong that the carrier still lacks stock.
