HP and Dell's ultrabook plans have leaked, with the two companies expected to jump into Intel's MacBook Air rivaling segment in Q4 this year and Q1 2012 respectively. Dell's model will feature a 14-inch display, DigiTimes' supply chain sources tell them, and is expected to debut at CES 2012 in January, though beyond that no specifications have been suggested.
Ultrabooks weren't in short supply at IFA 2011 last week - Toshiba, Acer and Lenovo all brought their new models to the show - but while publicly each is gung-ho about the segment, on the production line it's a far more tentative story. Each intends to produce less than 50,000 ultrabook units initially, DigiTimes' sources claim, predicting lackluster demand in Q4.
IFA 2011 has come and gone, and there's been no shortage of shiny new tech to play with. With the iPad still dominating consumer and industry mindshare, tablets unsurprisingly were a focus points for many, but there were big screens to marvel at in other segments, too. We won't see many of the new toys hit store shelves for months, but that's not going to stop us from lusting in advance. Head on past the cut for all the best devices from the show!

Welcome back after an extended holiday weekend! Many of you've got your new Android smartphones and giant televisions and weirdo oddities under your belt (or maybe you had even more fun by buying those things as presents) and you've come back, hungry for some tech news! Well you're in luck, especially if you DIDN'T pick up your device of choice yet, especially if you live in Korea (where you'll find the LG LU3000, faster than Galaxy S, - that is of course if you dismiss the fact that you might be going to war soon,) in Japan (where Sharp is very soon releasing their fabulous Galapagos tablets,) or the USA (where you can get a FREE G2.) Of course, if you're in Taiwan this week, you'll probably flip out over a ASUS Eee Note EA-800, and if you're in the USA... well... how about a pulse rifle? Or I bet you're on the lookout for a SlashGear Cyber Monday Round Up?! All this and MORE on SlashGear Morning Wrap-up!
