, May 20th 2012 Discuss [0]

AT&T has no shortage of value-priced phones, and just lately, a pretty good selection of 4G LTE devices as well. But the two haven’t crossed over much yet, and the ranks of Windows Phone 7 devices are a little slim as well. Happily, all three of these categories can add the Samsung Focus 2, which goes on sale starting today for $49.99 with a two-year contract. Is it worth your hard-earned greenbacks? Let’s find out.

, May 13th 2012 Discuss [0]

If you switched cable providers for the express purpose of being able to watch TV on your gaming console, then hopefully the companies AT&T and Microsoft were not part of that decision. AT&T has dropped its U-verse TV service from the Xbox 360, but it's only temporary as the company says it wants to tweak the service so that it can "improve and enhance this functionality." Nokia Lumia 900 review

, Apr 3rd 2012 Discuss [0]

Over the last year Nokia’s had something of a tumultuous time in the mobile industry. While still a power to be feared in the featurephone market, their lack of presence in the smartphone market has been keenly felt. With T-Mobile’s Lumia 710 as a prelude, the Finnish giant makes a return in earnest with the Lumia 900 on AT&T’s LTE network. Its features and design are immediately attractive, but perhaps more so is the price: just $99 on-contract, or free for new AT&T customers. Can a combination of great design, high-end features and price make a bold statement for Nokia? Let’s find out.

, Jan 9th 2012 Discuss [1]

This week AT&T re-introduced themselves as a large proponent in the developer world for the mobile world, saying the apps that the developers create are the fundamental bits of the mobile experience. AT&T U-verse customers can get industry’s first wireless receiver on Oct 31

, Oct 25th 2011 Discuss [0]

I think in every place I have ever lived I have stood in at least one room and wondered why the builder put the cable outlet in that spot. Generally, if you want the cable outlet on another wall you end up having to get a new outlet added to the room or running a cable under the floor or across the room. If you live in an AT&T U-verse area you will have a new option starting on October 31 that will make it a snap to get your U-verse box in any room you want, on any wall, without having to use wires or cables even if that room has no outlet. Wherefore Art Thou, TiVo?

, May 21st 2011 Discuss [24]

Early last year and late in 2009, tech fiends were debating the best product to come out in the first decade of the new millenium. My answer was decisive: TiVo. Not just the DVR in general, I mean, specifically, TiVo. I love TiVo. Tech friends, always quick to correct technical errors, would point out that TiVo actually appeared in 1999, but they did not have to tell me that. I owned one in 1999. I might have been TiVo’s best customer of all time. But this month I shut off my TiVo service and switched to something different.

, May 18th 2011 Discuss [22]

How big is too big? It’s an important question when you’re looking at the Samsung Infuse 4G, AT&T’s latest HSPA+ smartphone and a device that’s as sizable face-on as it is slender from the side.
