This week the folks at Tesla have delivered news that their first delivery of 2012 Model S electric sedans will begin in just one month. This delivery will be several weeks earlier than planned as Tesla's public relations teams move to bolster the view of the car so that it might gain wider adoption after its initial launch. This new model brings on a whole new era of electric car for the company, taking what they'd learned from the Tesla Roadster and moving forward with elements such as enhanced regenerative braking with the Model S.

Tesla have announced the official unveil date of their Model S electric-powered car, the four-door version of the existing Tesla Roadster.  While details on the Model S are currently scarce, we do know that it will use the same high-capacity battery technology as found in its sportier sibling; the new, road-legal prototype will be launched on March 23rd at The Tesla Design Studio inside the SpaceX factory in Hawthorn, California.

Tesla launches in Australia with Model S showroom

Tesla has expanded its presence, landing in the Land Down Under where its Model S is now available for purchase. The arrival in Australia took place late last night, with Elon Musk launching his company's first showroom in Sydney early in the morning local time. This marks the start of what will eventually be a larger presence in the nation -- both additional showrooms and more charging stations are planned over the next couple of years.

Tesla plans simpler Model S range to tackle EV bottleneck

Tesla plans to cut down on the number of options and variations it offers with the Model S in an attempt to trim complexity and cut down on production delays, as the company announces revenues up 55-percent year-on-year for the most recent quarter. Quarterly deliveries for Q3 2014 were actually at their highest ever, at 7,785 cars, with Tesla making as many as 907 deliveries in a single day. However, the electric car firm was again hamstrung by production bottlenecks, unable to meet demand.
