A new report nutshell released today by Consumer Reports on the new iPad has taken to the wild world of Android to try to find comparable devices for the odd consumer. In addition to listing these, the product researchers at Consumer Reports reminded the public that the heat they found in the 2012 iPad was absolutely nothing to worry about, as it was still well within "who cares" standards for devices such as itself. We recently put up a review of the Sony Tablet P and lamented that Honeycomb needed to be ditched in favor of Ice Cream Sandwich. Sony has announced that next month owners of its Tablet S and Tablet P will be getting the update to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. The update has been confirmed for Japan, but it's not clear if other countries will also get the update.

Nokia design chief confirms tablet

Nokia is working on a tablet, the company's design chief has reportedly confirmed, with the exec supposedly spending a third of his time on the well-rumored project. "We are working on it" Marko Ahtisaari confirmed to Finnish magazine Kauppalehti Optio, Reuters reports, though declined to be more specific about the incoming slate. However, rumors earlier this week suggested a Windows 8 tablet was in the pipeline for later this year.
