It's Qualcomm Innovation Center, Inc's turn and it's time to benchmark some heads. There's a new benchmark in town, and this one's aimed directly at the mobile browser performance of YOUR device. Where the major benchmarking systems we speak of most often test more general CPU power and 3D graphics prowess of single core, dual core, and all kinds of core mobile handset processors, here we've got not one, but a whole suite of tests set up to show the web browser performance of whichever handset you're aiming to try out - and it works on tablets, of course, too!

HTC calls out Apple for competing in courts, not on products

HTC calls out Apple for competing in courts, not on products

HTC has officially commented on yesterday's news that Apple has added a fresh batch of patent infringement allegations to the ongoing legal action between the two companies, telling SlashGear that it "vehemently denies" all of Apple's claims. "HTC is dismayed" the company's general counsel, Grace Lei says, "that Apple has resorted to competition in the courts rather than the market place." As expected, the second set of claims detail HTC's more recent devices, including the EVO 4G and HTC Flyer tablet.

SlashGear Weekly Roundup Video – June 26, 2011

New hope for the Nokia and Microsoft partnership came this week with the unveiling of the N9 MeeGo handset and the Windows Phone Mango version of it dubbed the "Sea Ray." The Daily Slash: November 9 2010

Let me talk to you for a moment about a couple of the odder things that happened today, and this is outside the story you're going to hear about in the special "The Daily Slash" section you all know and love. First, there's a lot of ports, ROMS, and hacks flying around the smartphone world on a day-to-day, but today there was a rather important one surfacing: Android to iPhone. Like two rival gangs having a child together. No violence between them yet, but someone DID get shot today - a Galaxy Tab. In response, Angry Birds released 45 new levels, and someone records a UFO on an HTC EVO 4G. TRON throws a card into the hat with their 3rd giant trailer, iPhone's GLASSGATE ramps up, and all Apple handhelds grow a little tail. All this and more, today, on THE DAILY SLASH!
