A larger version of Sony's VAIO Duo 11 convertible hybrid notebook has been spotted, apparently boasting a 13-inch Full HD touchscreen and the same sliding hinge design turning the slate into a laptop. The unannounced notebook, spotted in a YouTube video (which you can see after the cut), reportedly has a Triluminos touchscreen that works with both finger and stylus contact.

Sony has revealed its latest entry-level VAIO notebooks, the VAIO Fit series, with a choice of 14- and 15.6-inch displays, 3rd-gen Intel Core processors, and the option of dedicated NVIDIA graphics. Kicking off from $649 for the VAIO Fit 14 and $699 for the VAIO Fit 15 - which have 1600 x 900 and 1920 x 1080 displays, respectively - the new Fit range also throw in features like NFC for easier transfer of content between notebooks and Xperia smartphones.

Sony unveils touch enabled VAIOs, Tap 20 and Duo 11 available this month

Sony has introduced its first tabletop PC in the US market, the VAIO Tap 20, a massive 20-inch tablet computer, as well as the smaller VAIO Duo 11 "hybrid slider" PC, which we reviewed back in August. In addition to the Tap 20 and the Duo 11, Sony has also released touch-enabled ultrabooks, including a refresh of the T13 and the E series 14P models. This line of touch-enabled PCs runs Windows 8.

Sony VAIO Duo 11 hands-on

Sony likes to do things differently, and the VAIO Duo 11 is its unusual entrant to the Windows 8 tablet market. Billed as a "hybrid sliding PC" the Duo 11 looks, at first glance, like a chunky tablet, but pull up just above the front-facing webcam and the touchscreen slides back and up to reveal a full QWERTY keyboard. It's an approach we've seen before, from the ASUS Eee Pad Slider, but here running Microsoft's full Windows platform and with a digital stylus for handwriting and sketching.
