Sony wants gamers to agree to new PSN TOS or be banned

It you are a gamer on the PS3 and you like to play online games you need to be on the lookout when you log in for a pop up that is trying to get you to agree to new PSN terms of service. Apparently, somewhere in the tiny print there is a message that you can opt out of the new terms of service by sending a letter to Sony. However, you apparently still have to agree to them or you will not be allowed to access the PSN for online play.

There has been a lot of talk over the last few days about the breach of the PSN that took the PS3 network down and left players unable to play anything online. There had been a few grumblings going around that Sony's PS3 Slim was about to get some changes to the Hard Drive variants. And while GameStop independently confirmed this for a little while, those ads were quickly pulled. But the rumors didn't stop. And good thing, too -- considering that they turned out to be true. Sony has just announced that there will not only be a 160GB model, but also a 320GB Move bundle coming to market this Fall.

It's not just a white PS3 and a chunkier hard drive that Sony Japan are promising today; they're also spilling some details on the PlayStation Move launch including the awesome retro ray-gun "shooting attachment" we saw at E3.  Two bundles have been announced for Japan, set for release on October 21st 2010, one with a single Move wand, PlayStation Eye camera and a copy of Bio Hazard 5 Alternative Edition, and another that throws in a ray-gun shooting attachment and replaces the title with Big 3 Gun Shooting.

Sony finally making money on PS3 hardware; no price cut in foreseeable future

Sony has confirmed that, for the first time since its original debut, the PS3 is finally making them money.  A long standing joke among gamers, until now the console has cost Sony more to produce than they've been able to sell it for; according to Shuhei Yoshida, president of Sony's Worldwide Studios, "This year is the first time that we are able to cover the cost of the PlayStation 3."  "We aren't making huge money from hardware," he told IGN, "but we aren't bleeding like we used to."
