This week more details on the upcoming launch of the Sony Xperia i1, aka Honami, as well as a set of Sony Lens Cameras have appeared, complete with a possible launch date for the lot of them. Sony Lens Cameras teased: attaching to all, from Xperia to iPhone

As tipped all the way back near the middle of July, Sony's Lens Cameras (DSC-QX10 and DSC-QX100) once again appear to be upon us. These cameras are appearing in press images this afternoon courtesy of Sony Alpha Rumors both on their own and attached to the Sony Xperia Z and Sony Xperia i1, aka Honami. The DSC-QX10 as well as the DSC-QX100 will be working only when working with a Sony smartphone, meaning they've got their own hardware inside not normally found in the body of a replaceable lens system.

This week the team at Sony have revealed two new "Lens-Type Cameras", the larger of these being the Cyber-shot QX100. This device comes with a 1-inch 20.2-megapixel Exmor RCMOS sensor identical to that of the sensor found in the Sony Cyber-shot RX100 II, delivering "exceptionally detailed" shots in all manner of lighting conditions - day or night. This camera also works with a Carl Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T lens with no less than a BIONZ image processor inside.
