Saab have partnered with Sony Ericsson to bring remote control of its latest vehicle to the touchscreen of the XPERIA X1. Demonstrated at the launch of the Saab 9-X Air concept at the Paris Motor Show last week, the system would allow XPERIA X1 owners to remotely control ambient lighting, lock the car, control seating, switch the lights on and off, and open the rear compartment, all via Bluetooth.

This week Sony is bringing some gaming heat with no less than an announcement of attack on the mobile landscape, starting with the HTC One X. This announcement has Sony changing the name of their PlayStation Suite to PlayStation Mobile and making it clear that not only will HTC be their first third-party hardware partner, they'll be working with other Android and Windows Phone groups as well.

Skype has added video calling support for Samsung's Galaxy Tab 10.1, the original Google Nexus One and the Motorola Photon 4G, as well as a host of other Android devices. Skype for Android v2.5 adds fourteen new phones and tablets to the compatibility list, bringing the total to 41, as well as adding support for switching between portrait and landscape orientation midway through a video call.
Skype has issued an update for its Android app that was updated with video calling capability on a few handsets back in June. The updated app landed today and there aren't many changes to the app other than the official addition of more smartphones with video calling support. The new version of the app is 220.127.116.11.

We first caught a glimpse of the LG Revolution 4G back in February when it was announced to be Verizon's first VoLTE (voice-over LTE) smartphone and will be the third of four 4G LTE devices slated for the carrier. The device later hit the FCC in March signaling an oncoming launch. But today, some images cropped up that reveal an actual release date.
