Sony Ericsson XPERIA Pureness Unveiled, Probably Should Have Stayed Veiled

Sony Ericsson"released the X2 yesterday, but it looks like they couldn't let things go on a good note. Well, maybe not a good note. Let's call it a rational note. After seeing this video of the XPERIA Pureness, we're not sure what to think. There's definitely some interesting aspects to it, but just one look at the phone, and you've got to tell yourself that the cost is surely going to outweigh any feature set this device could have.

It's all getting a little confusing, what with two sets of leaked Sony Ericsson XPERIA devices making the rounds.  Yesterday's Sony Ericsson XPERIA X3, formerly known by its codename of "Rachel", is the company's upcoming Android smartphone, while today we're looking at the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X2, the Windows Mobile based successor to the XPERIA X1.  More images of the device have leaked over at XDA-developers.

SlashGear Week in Review – Week 28 2009

This has been a busy week here at SlashGear and lots of new items have appeared this week to stoke our geek lust. If you were on vacation or just didn’t get around to reading much this week here is our week in review. We heard rumors this week that Apple had purchased a huge order of cameras for its new iPod models. The rumor was supported by shots of new cases for the 5G iPod nano that surfaced with a cut out for a camera lens. Intel is also rumored to have penalized Lenovo and Samsung over cramming the popular Intel Atom processor inside a netbook with screens over the size limit that the parts are supposed to be used in. I guess Intel is still afraid of net books cannibalizing notebook sales.
