Skyrim Premium Edition confirmed by Bethesda

Well this certainly is interesting: earlier today, Amazon Germany outed a Skyrim Premium Edition. The listing stated that Skyrim Premium Edition will come with a number of bonuses, but strangely, it won't include any of the DLC that has been released for Xbox 360 and PC. Bethesda then confirmed Skyrim Premium Edition to Eurogamer, revealing that the game will be launching in Europe shortly, with more details set to follow soon.

Skyrim’s next DLC “Dragonborn” might feature dragon mounts

PC and Xbox 360 Skyrim players are already enjoying Dawnguard and Hearthfire (sorry PS3 players), but it looks like Bethesda isn't quite finished releasing DLC for its latest epic. A particularly savvy Bethesda forums member has taken an up close look at the code for the Skyrim beta 1.8 update and has possibly unearthed details about Skyrim's next piece of DLC. According to this user, who goes by the name of Mardoxx, Skyrim's next DLC could be called "Dragonborn," and it's taking place in area that isn't actually a part of Skyrim.

Skyrim: Hearthfire now on PC, no new updates on Dawnguard PS3

Skyrim: Hearthfire now on PC, no new updates on Dawnguard PS3

Skyrim's second serving of DLC, Hearthfire, launched on PC today, meaning that eager homebuilders can get to work constructing their dream house (or at least something resembling their dream house). Hearthfire costs the same on Steam as it does on Xbox 360 - $5 - and for that paltry amount, you get to buy up plots of land, collect raw materials, and then use those materials to build a house, which could potentially include things like a greenhouse or an armory. You can also move your spouse into your freshly-built home and, if you really want your Skyrim experience to mirror real life, adopt children.

Hearthfire DLC for Skyrim available on Xbox 360 now

Hearthfire DLC for Skyrim available on Xbox 360 now

Skyrim's latest DLC, Hearthfire, launches on Xbox 360 today, and it seems to pack a lot into a tiny download. The DLC, which lets you collect raw materials to build your dream home and adopt children (among other things), weighs in at only 75MB, meaning that it should be a pretty quick download for most folks. The pack is budget-priced too as it costs a mere 400 MSP, leading us to believe that this is a tiny DLC bonus meant to tide us over while we wait for the next expansion-like Skyrim DLC pack.

Skyrim: Hearthfire DLC lets you build your dream home

Skyrim: Hearthfire DLC lets you build your dream home

Bethesda has announced new DLC for the incredibly popular Skyrim, but this DLC probably isn't what you were thinking it would be. Dubbed Hearthfire, this latest DLC pack focuses less on the adventuring aspects of the game and encourages players to not only build their own home, but start a family and settle down. We saw features like this in the Skyrim Game Jam video Todd Howard showed during his keynote at DICE 2012, but few were thinking that home building and adoption would end up being the focus of actual DLC.

Bethesda Skyrim update hits consoles, finally fixes PS3 bug

After months, the patch that will finally fix the game-crippling lag glitch on the PS3 version of Bethesda's Elder Scrolls: Skyrim has gone live. The new patch, which pushes the game to version 1.5, was released on both Xbox Live and the PlayStation Network, and adds a whole bunch of functionality, but it is PS3 players who stand to gain the most from the update. They have been faced with problems from day one.
