Windows Phone hack could create Android dual-boot

Enterprising modders are seemingly one step closer to getting Windows Phone 7 devices to dual-boot with Android and other platforms, with Samsung's Focus being coaxed into running an unofficial bootloader. The handiwork of DFT (Dark Forces Team)'s Cotulla, the hack currently allows the MAGLDR bootloader to run after the Focus' original bootloader, with the eventual goal being a selection of official and unofficial ROMs to choose from. Samsung roadmap leak tips 720p I9250 Android ICS phone, more

Details of upcoming smartphones and tablets purportedly from a leaked Samsung roadmap have emerged, with retailer Mobili linija spilling the beans on not only a 7-inch Galaxy Tab replacement but a pair of supersized Android handsets one of which runs Ice Cream Sandwich. Samsung’s 7-inch slate, the P6200, is tipped to run Android 3.x Honeycomb on a 1024 x 600 display, with HSPA+ and twin cameras, a 3-megapixel shooter on the back and 2-megapixels up front. It will also apparently be available as the P6210, a WiFi-only version.

Having heard Orange's news that the Samsung Omnia 7 would be HD Voice compatible on their UK network, we chased up HTC to see whether the same was in store for the HTC 7 Mozart.  Unfortunately, it seems Mozart owners will have to make do with regular audio quality; HTC has told us the company has "no plans" to add in HD Voice support to their Windows Phone 7 smartphone. Samsung Omnia 7 gets HD Voice on Orange UK

Orange has confirmed that the Samsung Omnia 7 will be HD Voice enabled in the UK, allowing the Windows Phone 7 handset to make higher quality audio calls on their network.  "High Definition Voice" had previously been limited to a handful of Nokia devices, along with the Samsung Omnia Pro; calls between compatible phones promise much reduced background noise, hiss and crackle. This was a big week for mobile phone fans with the unveiling and leaks of hoards of Windows Phone 7 handsets. Among those handsets was the HTC HD7 also known as the Schubert. The specs of the handset leaked Monday. T-Mobile's pricing for the Samsung Galaxy Tab in the US also leaked early in the week. Wow! What an exciting day for Microsoft with their launch of Windows Phone 7! Steve Ballmer, CEO of Microsoft stressed the importance of, “Always delightful, wonderfully mine,” today in their live webcast. We were all excited about those words as the cast continued and we found out that 9 different phones (including LG, Samsung, HTC, and Dell) will launch soon, using 60 mobile operators, offered in 30 different countries.
