More Galaxy S4 cases leak on eve of Samsung’s big reveal

Samsung's big Galaxy S4 reveal is almost upon us, but that hasn't stopped the steady drip of leaks which today includes a new set of cases for the flagship smartphone. The colorful covers, 98-percent trusted" from UK retailer MobileFun's source, are unbranded, but they do fit in with what leaks we've seen in the past week or so about the expected form-factor for the new handset.

Samsung’s weird little kid is as excited about the Galaxy S4 as we are

Samsung’s weird little kid is as excited about the Galaxy S4 as we are

Samsung knows we’re gurgling with barely-restrained anticipation for its Galaxy S4 launch next week, but it’s cranking up the pre-show fever with a mildly-cringeworthy teaser campaign featuring a “secret messenger.” The promo, featuring a milk-sipping child executive supposedly called Jeremy Maxwell, tells us little to nothing about the Galaxy S4 itself, but it looks like this won’t be the last of the videos we get before March 14.

Samsung blasts out March 14 Unpacked invites: Galaxy S4 ahoy!

Samsung has sent out invites for its March 14 2013 Unpacked event, billed as "Episode 1", and widely expected to see the hotly-anticipated Galaxy S4 make its official debut. Speculation around the March 14 date had been widespread over the past few weeks, and then given the official nod from high-level Samsung execs at Mobile World Congress today. Now, though, it's officially-official.

Samsung Wireless Charging Pad clears FCC (but will the Galaxy S4 need it?)

Samsung is apparently making a renewed push into wireless charging, with a new Qi-compatible charging accessory spotted clearing the FCC and potentially tipping native support in the upcoming Galaxy S4. The Samsung Wireless Charging Pad, as the user manual included in the filing names it, offers a simple, straightforward way to rejuice a mobile device, with an off-white plate holding a single phone on your desk.

Samsung demos curved phone concepts (plus what’s likely the Galaxy S4 display)

Samsung may have had big screens on its mind at CES, but the company also previewed what might be the display the Galaxy S IV (aka Galaxy S4) is blessed with, together with the flexible AMOLED we'd really like it to have. Buried on the company's stand was a display of curved AMOLED concepts under Samsung's YOUM brand, AnandTech reports, with the panels curving around the edges and sides of the mock-up devices. More imminent, however, is a 4.99-inch 1080p Full HD screen running at a luscious 440ppi, which is likely to find its way into Samsung's next Android flagship.

Samsung: February 2013 Galaxy S4 rumors “not true”

Samsung: February 2013 Galaxy S4 rumors “not true”

Samsung has denied reports that the Galaxy S4 is set to launch in February 2013, describing the chatter of a 5-inch follow-up to the Galaxy S III as simply "not true." Talk of a new flagship with an aggressive roll-out roadmap began earlier this week, with claims that Samsung execs themselves had confirmed the mid-Q1 2013 reveal in an attempt to keep the pressure up on the new iPhone 5. However, the Samsung Tomorrow Twitter account quickly moved to debunk the speculation.

Final Galaxy Note 5 images release herald August event

Final Galaxy Note 5 images release herald August event

Today images of the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 have appeared in their final form, looking just about as near-official as they're going to get. While these are still renderings - much in the same way all smartphone companies release renderings for ad material - they're as close to the real deal as you're going to see for the moment, just a few weeks away from the real thing. Here the Galaxy Note 5 is looking pretty spiffy, complete with an industrial design finesse matched only by the Galaxy S6 Edge, its little sibling.

Samsung Galaxy S6 Active Review

Samsung Galaxy S6 Active Review

Today we review the Samsung Galaxy S6 Active from AT&T. This device takes the innards of the Galaxy S6, expanding the exterior bits to make a device that's resistant to the elements as well as shock. You can drop this one. While the original Galaxy "Active" device wasn't quite as resistant to the one truest danger of all, dropping the darned thing, here we've been given a reprieve. And a good sign for the future. This device has everything the Galaxy S6 has, and more - a bigger battery too.

Milk Video Review – Samsung’s YouTube

Milk Video Review – Samsung’s YouTube

While it might seem strange to call Milk Video "Samsung's YouTube" since it contains actual YouTube content, know this: it's what this software feels like that counts. Over the past few weeks I've been using Samsung's Milk Video on a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 regularly. Once I received a Samsung Galaxy S6 for review over on Android Community, I began using Milk Video there as well. Of this I'm sure: once you get past the idea that you're no longer in your video comfort zone, Samsung's work with Milk Video shines.

Samsung wants wireless charging as a standard, just in time for Galaxy S6

Samsung wants wireless charging as a standard, just in time for Galaxy S6

Wireless charging is nothing new for Samsung handsets, but it has yet to become a standard feature Samsung talks up in a big way. That might change with the Galaxy S6, though. In a new blog post, Samsung is saying they’d prefer wireless charging to be industry standard fare, and that phones support all forms of wireless charging. After being on the cusp of marketability for some time, Samsung also outlines why wireless charing may have been left off of existing handsets.
