Everyone loves idillic specs on their yet-unannounced gadgets, that's why when we heard this morning's news about the Android-laden Galaxy Nexus having a 5-megapixel camera and a Verizon exclusive deal, we just weren't satisfied - thus we found our OWN source, one with a much better outlook on things. Everyone has these unnamed inside-scoop-having officials that they like to toss around, so we figured, hey, lets get a few of our own! That said, it appears that there are a few conflicting stories out there today popping up since this morning's "leak", not all of them ours - see what you think!

Samsung Nexus Prime reportedly detailed: Verizon LTE

Samsung Nexus Prime reportedly detailed: Verizon LTE

The Samsung Nexus Prime, aka the Galaxy Nexus expected to be revealed at the company's event next Tuesday, has apparently been detailed as an Ice Cream Sandwich Verizon exclusive. The 9mm-thick device will have a 4.65-inch 1280 x 720 Super AMOLED HD curved glass display, BGR's source tells them, but rather than one of Samsung's own Exynos processors will instead run Texas Instrument's 1.2GHz OMAP 4460 dual-core Cortex A9 paired with 1GB of RAM.

It's less than a week now from the final reveal of whatever Samsung has in store for us near the Autumn edition of CTIA, and would you look at that, someone's posted a photo of the next Google hero phone, clear as a bell. What's actually going on here is a cleaning up of the image we've all been staring at for about 19 hours now released by Samsung early this morning, one that showed off the next Samsung device amid signs that it'd be released at Samsung Mobile Unpacked 2011: Google Edition next week. Google Nexus Prime renderings appear accurate

Google Nexus Prime renderings appear accurate

It looks like those fabulous 3D illustrators are at it again, this time to bring us a good glimpse at what might well be what the Nexus Prime looks like. It's the fine team of renderers at Ciccarese Design that draw us up a look at what might well be the next hero phone for Google's mobile operating system, this time looking rather similar to two devices: the last Nexus phone, aka the Nexus S from Samsung, and the Samsung Galaxy S II line here in the USA. From what we understand via the ever-expanding rumor library surrounding this device, that combination might not be all that far off from the truth.

Verizon Nexus Prime app list leaked

Verizon Nexus Prime app list leaked

Let me stop you right there and stomp on your foot a little bit with this one with a stern warning: any site that only has one entry in a section, like the source for this story, should be treated as suspect - that said, this list seems fairly possible. The list I speak of is an app list for what appears to be the Verizon version of the Nexus Prime, a mythical device that's supposed to be coming out soon via Samsung to be the hero phone for Google's Ice Cream Sandwich OS update. What you'll find here, again if you believe it's real, is a list of apps that contains no bloat.

Samsung Mobile Unpacked 2011 Google Episode announced for CTIA

Samsung has announced their next Unpacked event, this one set to take place at the Autumn edition of CTIA and officially presented together with Google. This is Samsung Mobile Unpacked 2011 "Google Episode" and it seems pretty likely that it'll taste distinctly like vanilla ice cream. Ice Cream Sandwich, that is; the next big version of Android set, quite likely, to be hosted on a Samsung device by the name of Nexus Prime. Sound like a likely scenario to you?

Nexus Prime Chassis Specs Reported, Support Page up at Samsung

Nexus Prime Chassis Specs Reported, Support Page up at Samsung

It appears that rumors and confirmations are coming on the daily here on the upcoming Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich device known thus far as the Nexus Prime. We've heard it called the Nexus Prime, the DROID Prime, codename GT-I9250, and today a new name: Samsung Galaxy Nexus. This comes from a tipster that's also revealed the fact that Samsung now has a support page up for the soon to be live device, though this support page is nothing if not incomplete to say the least, showing only the device code and a bunch of placeholder links on all sides. The real juicy bits come from a tipster who notes that this new device is likely to be 8.8mm thin with a full metal chassis.
