Nexus 5 details expand on shipping floor

Today several photos have appeared from a shipping facility somewhere in the world with the Google Nexus 5 ready to hit stores sooner than later. This device is appearing with a black front, a black back, and a blue box not unlike that of the recent release of the 2013 edition of the Nexus 7. In its most basic aesthetic style, that is - there's a whole world of difference on the inside of this phone.

Samsung Glass design filing tips growing wearable ambitions

A potential design for Samsung's rumored Google Glass rival has been revealed in a Korean filing, a sports- and media-centric wearable complete with a monocular eyepiece. Samsung's "sports glasses" would apparently have fixed lenses, according to the design filing spotted by the WSJ, rather than the interchangeable visors of Google's Glass Explorer Edition, as well as more traditional earpieces for music playback.

Galaxy Note 3 not the only one free of “benchmark shenanigans” accusations [UPDATE]

As the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 appears on US-shores we've seen talk of not quite on-the-level benchmark boosting by the likes of what, at first, would seem to be the manufacturer of the smartphone. This report originates with Ars Technica where they suggest that the smoking gun is the fact that this smartphone brings up four full-powered CPU cores whenever it's asked to open any one of several big-name benchmarking apps. What we've found is that this situation is not - by any means - limited to Samsung's hardware.
