SlashGear Exclusive: Video Hands-on with Samsung’s Giorgio Armani phone

SlashGear were lucky enough to be invited by Samsung to a preview event, the undeniable star of which was the company's rival to the Prada phone: a partnership handset with Giorgio Armani.  Likely to be known as the Armani phone rather than the relatively dry SGH-P520, the handset comes complete with tri-band (900/1800/1900) EDGE, a 2.6-inch QVGA touchscreen and intuitive UI, and a 3-megapixel camera.

More and more fashion companies want their brand on mobile phones. There was rumors a while back that Samsung is partnering with Armani to produce an Armani stamped phone, and now they have unofficially introduce the phone.

Hot on the heels of the leaked Motorola Sholes pictures comes this, another as-yet unknown Motorola smartphone that again is tipped to run Android.  Little is known about the unnamed handset, but it's said to have a 3.8-inch touchscreen and an 8-megapixel autofocus camera with LED flash.

Update: Eagle-eyed Cellularmania have spotted that this looks like a Photoshopped Samsung Omnia II; the front has had the Motorola logo and DROID keys added, while the back (shown after the cut) is a dead ringer for the Samsung's camera cluster.

It wasn't all about luxury names and big-screen smartphonesat Samsung's exclusive press event; they also took the time to introduce some more mainstream models.  First up is the SGH-i450, a dual-sliding music phone which still manages to pack a 2-megapixel camera, HSDPA for high-speed internet access and - more importantly, Samsung thinks - downloading fresh new tracks, and a deeply clever "Half Touch" scroll wheel.
