Toshiba’s product roadmap leaked

If this is authentic, Toshiba has some interesting products lined up through 2010. Techblog.gr leaked a powerpoint slide of Toshiba's product roadmap featuring a few handheld computers featuring the Qualcomm SnapDragon platform. There were prototypes first demoed at CES earlier this year, and from the looks of it, those prototypes are ending up as real products.

Intel 32nm Atom netbook CPU appears on roadmap

Word of a 32nm Intel Atom processor has emerged, courtesy of a report by UBS Securities.  The roadmap shows a chip platform under the codename Medfield, set to launch in 2010, with onboard graphics and other I/O functionality currently handled by the chipset.  Both single and dual-core versions are tipped, and the report suggests that netbooks will evolve "from from basic web page consumption to multimedia consumption including high-definition (HD) video", although it's unclear if this is general speculation or based on Intel's expectations for Medfield.

HTC Roadmap reveals Omni super-smartphone

I guess it's a day for slick renderings.  First the Motorola Zante, rumoured to fit somewhere into the Sidekick range, and now HTC's Omni, rumours about which have been rumbling around the internet like discretely-passed wind in a communal bath.  A folding smartphone similar in concept to the Nokia Communicator, sources would have it that this image - and the following information - is taken from an HTC roadmap detailing the device's October launch.

H1Z1: free-to-play MMO zombie-style gameplay by SOE

The team at Sony Online Entertainment has let it be known that they’re going in to the zombie business, massively multiplayer online gaming style. This game will be coming out in the vein of DayZ and Rust, appearing at first to have more of a "Wild West" nature than the overly-structured bits of Dead Rising 3. This MMO was originally called "H1Z1 Apocalypse", shortened to H1Z1 for the final release, ready to dump you into an open world full to the hilt with zombies galore.
