Images surface allegedly showing off 13-inch Retina MacBook Pro

Images surfaced on the Chinese website Weiphone showing internal components and ports on what is claimed to be the 13-inch Retina MacBook Pro. The (mostly very tiny) images show off connection ports along the right and left sides of the laptop, as well as a snapshot of its display, which shows the machine running Windows 7. It's anticipated that Apple will unveil the 13-inch Retina MacBook Pro at its event next week.

Retina 13-inch MacBook Pro pricing tipped at $1699

The folks at Apple have been tipped to be bringing on the 13-inch version of their lovely Retina-quality display-toting MacBook Pro soon, and with a price tag that jumps $500 over the non-Retina version of the device. The 2,560 x 1,600 pixel display on this device was reported as having started production earlier this year - in August, to be precise - and the announcement of the notebook will quite likely be appearing at the Apple event coming up on the 23rd (next week.) This notebook will almost certainly have the same specification upgrades that the Retina MacBook Pro had in its original iteration as well.

Thinner iMac with teardrop profile imminent tips board leak

Apple is tipped to be readying an imminent iMac update, with a distinctive new physical design that adopts a teardrop-shaped profile. The new all-in-one, according to details and what's said to be an internal image shared on Chinese forum WeiPhone, is "considerably thinner" than the current model, the tipster claims, with a curved rear panel and tapered edges rather than the crisper lines of today; up front, a more advanced lamination process is believed to be implemented.

Google's next Nexus tablet is likely to be a co-branded collaboration with Samsung, insiders claim, and giving the Nexus 7 a high-resolution 10-inch bigger brother. Unlike the budget $199 Nexus 7, NPD DisplaySearch analyst Richard Shim tells CNET, the Samsung-made "Nexus 10" will be "a high-end device" that uses a 2,560 x 1,600 display for a 299 ppi pixel density, besting what Apple currently offers on its Retina display equipped new iPad.

Welcome to Thursday evening folks - just one more day until the weekend is officially here. iOS 6 has been out for a little more than a day now, and while there are a lot of new features to get excited about, Apple's new Maps app seems to be spoiling the party. Many are bummed that Apple Maps doesn't feature public transportation routes like Google Maps, and a group of developers set out to solve that problem with a new hack. Meanwhile, Nokia took a few shots at Apple Maps today, and we found out that iOS 6 landed on 15% of all Apple devices within the first 24 hours of release.
