Today at the Apple event that's going to take place starting at 10AM PST there will more than likely be an iPad mini to be pumped about, but before then, the MacBook Pro with Retina display at 13-inches must be shown - and it's leaked. This leak comes from 9to5Mac where they've got essentially the full run-down of the models that will be available later today. That's another unconfirmed factoid in this situation, mind you, that the 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display will indeed be up for sale by the end of the day online.

Talk about getting a jump on the market. Gumdrop Cases, maker of all sorts of cases for various tablets and phones, has unveiled the first iPad mini case despite the fact that Apple has not yet announced the product. The case was made to fit the leaked specs for what is believed to be a miniature iPad, something that can end up either profitable or very expensive, depending on whether the leaked information matches the final product. Apple is expected to announce the iPad mini tomorrow.

The Apple event taking place this week on the 23rd of October has had several of its supposed presentations spilled here in advance of the date with the iPad mini and a refreshed iPad with Retina display pricing included. It's no surprise that the event will indeed be showing off the new iPad mini, but a refreshed iPad full-sized device has not been entirely clear on the radar up until now - though no confirmations have been made. The iPad mini's price scale has been tipped by a leak to 9 to 5 Mac as starting in at $329 USD in the United States.

Images surface allegedly showing off 13-inch Retina MacBook Pro

Images surfaced on the Chinese website Weiphone showing internal components and ports on what is claimed to be the 13-inch Retina MacBook Pro. The (mostly very tiny) images show off connection ports along the right and left sides of the laptop, as well as a snapshot of its display, which shows the machine running Windows 7. It's anticipated that Apple will unveil the 13-inch Retina MacBook Pro at its event next week.

Retina 13-inch MacBook Pro pricing tipped at $1699

The folks at Apple have been tipped to be bringing on the 13-inch version of their lovely Retina-quality display-toting MacBook Pro soon, and with a price tag that jumps $500 over the non-Retina version of the device. The 2,560 x 1,600 pixel display on this device was reported as having started production earlier this year - in August, to be precise - and the announcement of the notebook will quite likely be appearing at the Apple event coming up on the 23rd (next week.) This notebook will almost certainly have the same specification upgrades that the Retina MacBook Pro had in its original iteration as well.

Thinner iMac with teardrop profile imminent tips board leak

Apple is tipped to be readying an imminent iMac update, with a distinctive new physical design that adopts a teardrop-shaped profile. The new all-in-one, according to details and what's said to be an internal image shared on Chinese forum WeiPhone, is "considerably thinner" than the current model, the tipster claims, with a curved rear panel and tapered edges rather than the crisper lines of today; up front, a more advanced lamination process is believed to be implemented.
