Apple has launched a new section on iTunes called "Employees on iTunes". All the media in that section was created by, or at least influenced by, Apple employees. And it's all free. And you can't have any--unless you work at Apple. Apple news source 9to5Mac revealed recently that Eddie Cue, Apple's Senior Vice President of Internet Software and Services, recently sent out a company-wide internal memo recognizing that the company is teeming with creative energy.

Apple TV 6.0 adds AirPlay from iCloud, iTunes Radio, more

Apple TV has been updated, with v6.0 of the set-top box's software adding iTunes Radio, music purchase support, access to content stored in iCloud, and more. The new software brings the same iTunes Radio streaming support that Apple added to iPhones, iPads, and iTunes on the desktop earlier this week to the television, in addition to AirPlay from iCloud streaming for playing videos stored in Apple's cloud backup without needing to download them first.

iTunes 11.1 released with iTunes Radio and iOS 7 support

Apple has released iTunes 11.1 for Mac and PC, including iTunes Radio support, new Genius Shuffle functionality, and connectivity support for iOS 7. The new release - which arrives ahead of iOS 7 for existing iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch owners - brings iTunes Radio streaming to the desktop, with ad-supported playback of preset and custom music channels. You'll also need iTunes 11.1 if you want to manage your iOS 7 device, including the new iPhone 5s.

Streaming speaker company Pure has revealed the latest models in its assault on Sonos, with the Jongo T2 and Jongo T6 arriving ahead of the renamed Pure Connect Spotify rival due to hit the US in September. Slotting in as Pure's cheapest all-in-one streaming speaker, the $149 Jongo T2 has 3-inch drivers and a 20W Class D amp, while the $349 Jongo T6 sits at the top of the range with 100W split between two 5.25-inch drivers.
