Plextor announces M5S Series SSDs

Plextor has announced a new line of SSDs, the M5S Series. The drives are based on a Marvell 88SS9174 controller and use 25nm-based NAND flash, which helps read and write speeds hit 520MB/s and 390MB/s respectively. Random read and write speeds are rated at 73,000 and 70,000 IOPS. Plextor is aiming the drives at those looking to make the jump from traditional hard drives to solid state drives for the first time.

Just as suspected due to leaks, tips, and the fact that each of the treats thus far have been alphabetically inserted, Jelly Bean will come right after the update that's live now: Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Now we've just got to figure out what version number this treat corresponds with, and of course what the actual software updates will be.

Epson MegaPlex Projectors provide big screen viewing for iPod, iPhone, and iPad

Epson has launched a pair of new projectors that are aimed at the users of Apple iOS gear like the iPod touch, iPhone, and iPad. The new projectors are both in the MegaPlex line and there are two models. The two models include the MG-850HD and the MG-50. Both of the projectors share some of the same features. Both of them have a rear dock where the Apple gear sits to send the video out to a much larger screen.

LG Smart TV Upgrader ST600 priced/dated; Plex support incoming

LG's Smart TV Upgrader ST600 is apparently only weeks away from launch, with Amazon taking orders for the internet-enabled STB and suggesting a ship-date in two to five weeks time. Priced at $129.99, the ST600 will turn any TV - and it needn't be an LG model - into a smart TV, complete with Netflix, VUDU and CinemaNow streaming, a browser, and LG TV Apps. However, there's also Plex functionality in the pipeline as well.
