Pico and pocket projectors have continued to evolve and improve and are become increasingly popular. While just a few short years ago the thought of having 50 lumens of brightness on a battery powered device seemed out of reach. 3M has continued to bring the latest and greatest in projectors to the table. It might not be the brightest, or last the longest but they've found a great happy medium with the MP220.

AAXA P4 Pico Projector Review
We’ve seen our fair share of pico and pocket projectors here at SlashGear, but recently we’ve had the pleasure to work with and review one of the most portable and brightest of them all, a pico with an 80 lumen engine — the AAXA P4 Pico Projector. There are many different uses for a portable projector and whether they are an expensive toy, or a needed accessory is up to you. Head on down for some pictures and hands-on video of this little projector in action.
Portico spreads tablet touch beyond the screen
Tablets that can respond not only to touchscreen contact but taps and motions in the area around them could deliver a combination of Microsoft Surface-style expansive gestures in a portable form-factor, if researchers have their way. Portico, the handiwork of three computer scientists at Intel, Microsoft Research and the University of Washington, uses a pair of pull-out webcams to track movement on the table the slate is resting on. That way, objects in the periphery of the tablet can interact with what's being shown on-screen.

Pacifica Media Partners reports that pico projector sales doubled in Q4 2010
Pacific Media Partners has announced the numbers for the pico projector market for Q4 2010. The numbers look pretty good for the small projectors with the shipments of the little devices doubling compared to Q4 2009. PMA's numbers show that in Q5 2009 there were 134,000 units shipped.
