Pebble smartwatch won’t make September ship date

The Pebble smartwatch caused quite a stir across the internets when it was announced, breaking Kickstarter records and ultimately reaching $10.2 million in funding. The original goal was to create 1,000 Pebble watches and have them delivered to customers into September, but the company behind the watch has warned of delays thanks to the sheer demand. Full production is now planned for 85,000 watches, but ramping up for that kind of volume will mean Kickstarters will have to wait a bit longer to get their wares.

Samsung Galaxy S III Pebble Blue misses launch in UK

Here on the launch day for the Samsung Galaxy S III in the UK we're on the scene confirming that there are literally no Pebble Blue versions (of any size) in stores throughout London and likely throughout the country. This delay was noted by several carriers before today as being a partial stoppering of Pebble Blue versions of the Galaxy S III, but today has been expanded to all versions outside the White. This has resulted in masses of customers coming into stores changing their pre-ordered devices over to the White version of the device so that they might have the smartphone in their hands today rather than waiting for weeks for the Blue version.

Is this the Pebble Blue Galaxy S III’s big problem?

Samsung has already blamed its "newly invented" Pebble Blue finish for shortages of the Galaxy S III in some countries, and exactly what the problem with that tricky finish could be has been revealed. While review units we've seen so far have all been Marble White, Mobile Bulgaria was sent a Pebble Blue handset that, on closer inspection, appears to have flaws in the battery cover finish that can't simply be wiped away.

Samsung Galaxy S III Pebble Blue delayed

This week it's being reported by multiple sources that Samsung has had some manner of error in the production of the Blue color for their soon to be released Samsung Galaxy S III. E-paper smart watch and Kickstarter record-breaker Pebble won't work with the iPad out of the box, company founder Eric Migicovsky has confirmed, though the limitation doesn't look to have slowed demand for the gadget.
