NVIDIA has updated the Tegra Note 7 to Android 4.3, pushing out a new update this morning which also boosts the DirectStylus pen technology for left-handed tableteers, and adds the much-anticipated AOHDR photography system. The new software, which will be delivered to Tegra Note 7 owners OTA, enables the always-on high dynamic range camera option that uses real-time processing to snap instant HDR images without the lag usually associated with phone and tablet cameras, the Tegra 4 powered tablet grabbing high-, low-, and regular-exposure shots simultaneously.

There’s a next-generation HTC One out there in the wild, and it goes by the code name M8. You may recognize this name as it’s a one-up from the HTC One’s original code name in M7 - here appearing to be, quite simply, the next big step. Like the HTC One X’s release in the United States came with the Snapdragon S4 Pro for starters then had an upgrade to the NVIDIA Tegra 3 with a name change to HTC One X+, so too must we assume that the specifications change in this M8 device would receive such a tiny name-bump.

The NVIDIA Tegra Note 7 line of Android tablets is set to see the light of day just in time for the end of the year here in 2013, bringing with them a mix of graphics processing finesse and software-based stylus technology. Today a couple of videos have surfaced with NVIDIA speaking on the abilities of the tablet - an NVIDIA reference design, mind you, though the final manufactured versions will look extremely similar for consumers. The first of these demonstrations is done with what the company calls DirectStylus, working with a built-in pen.
