Archos have been a discrete teaser campaign for an upcoming device, believed to be the 6th generation PMP that will have 3G high-speed mobile internet.  The company briefly ran this small image on their homepage, depicting the corner of a new device and the slogan "Coming up..."; however it was quickly replaced by a more generic image (shown after the cut).

This was a long week with no major events occurring, but there were some pretty big announcements. For starters we have a new BitTorrent Set Top Box from Myka, no more will you have to waste power by leaving your entire computer running all night just to get the latest screener from FXG or aXXo, and this little set top box will do it for you and then play it right from its hard drive for added ease. Then there were rumors abound of Blockbuster potentially putting out a new Set Top Box to push their movies, TV Shows, and other content out to.

Sprint XOHM WiMAX pricing confirmed

Sprint has confirmed pricing for its XOHM WiMAX service, officially launched today in Baltimore.  Offering average download speeds of 2-4 Mbps and uplink speeds of 1-2 Mbps, XOHM will be initially offered in two versions: Home, for replacing an ADSL or cable broadband service, and On-the-Go, for use with a mobile device.  Initial discounting means service starts from $25 per month.

Well, a lot has happened this past week and this is just a little recap for those of you that aren’t big fans of back reading through pages of articles. I highly recommend you at least skim through and make sure there isn’t something really interesting that you missed, but here’s a brief overview.

Well this is a pretty amazing GPS unit, but is really dependent on price, especially after Nokia released the N810 with integrated GPS. This unit has a 4.3-inch touchscreen and a SiRF Star III chipset, which is as good as it gets in the consumer market.

On top of that, there is an SD card slot and a multimedia app that supports MP3, MPEG-4, and JPG files. That’s not a bad list of features, but again, compared to the N810, price will be the major selling point.
