Nokia's Lumia Windows Phone handsets will soon be updated to support tethering, according to the FAQ section of the Nokia Connects website. Although the new feature is confirmed, Nokia has yet to reveal when that update might arrive.

Nokia WP8 Prodigy and AC/DC leaked

The folks at Nokia have had a couple of new devices leaked it seems, both of them smartphones running what will be the next generation of Microsoft mobile operating systems: Windows Phone 8. These devices are called Nokia Prodigy and Nokia AC/DC presumably nick-named after whoever's job it is to name device's favorite bands, with the Prodigy set as a high-end device and the AC/DC set as a mid-range device, both of them coming out with a set of colors that's not to be missed.

Nokia MWC 2012: 41-megapixels and cheap Windows Phones

Nokia MWC 2012: 41-megapixels and cheap Windows Phones

If there was a "Phoenix From The Ashes" award at Mobile World Congress it's hard to argue that Nokia wouldn't be the most worthy recipient. Twelve months ago the company was apologetically admitting it had no new devices for MWC 2011, and today it revealed a bevy of phones that opened new doors in developing markets, pushed the envelope for Windows Phone pricing, and busted the smartphone camera segment right open. We've a whole lot of Nokia coverage, so head on past the cut to get up to speed.

Nokia PureView camera tech is a true gamechanger

Nokia PureView camera tech is a true gamechanger

Nokia may have outed its latest Windows Phone variants and a fresh batch of entry-level Ashas at MWC this morning, but the real excitement is in the culmination of five years of camera development and the Nokia 808 PureView. The 41-megapixel toting smartphone certainly grabs headlines in the spec-chasing race, but in fact the real genius of PureView isn't in counting pixels but what Nokia can do with them. The 808 PureView may not be for everyone - something Nokia readily concedes - but the PureView tech it uses is coming, at least in part, to future Nokia phones. That could truly be a game-changer.

How Low Can Nokia Go?

How Low Can Nokia Go?

Nokia is ramping up for a far more interesting Mobile World Congress than in recent years: having opted out of a presence in 2011, rumors have it that the Finns have at least two new Windows Phones to bolster their range. After the original Lumia 800 and 710, and the imminent Lumia 900 headed to AT&T, we're also told to expect a new, higher-end device in the shape of a European 900 variant, along with an entry-level model that should cater to a more affordable price point. Question is, with Symbian's appeal souring ahead of schedule, has Nokia done enough to shave away smartphone pricing.

Windows Phone Lumia 610 may be key to Tango update puzzle

Before a big release of a new bit of software, especially in this mobile landscape we're currently reporting on all the time now, there are a set of puzzle pieces, otherwise known as leaks, that can be compiled to create a relatively clear picture of what the full release will bring. What we're seeing in the lead up to Mobile World Congress 2012 for Microsoft's Windows Phone is a set of tips that lead us to believe that the key to the mystery that is "Windows Phone Tango" is none other than the Nokia Lumia 610, an unannounced device set for release at the end of this month, and the software that'll come out first upon it: Tango.

Photosynth app finally hits Windows Phones

Microsoft's popular Photosynth panorama stitching tech has finally reached the company's own Windows Phone platform. The photo app was released over a year ago on iOS but was oddly missing from WP7. Microsoft admitted that the app required some deeper access to the phones hardware, which was not available at the time.
