Galaxy Nexus sales frozen: Google promises imminent fix

Galaxy Nexus sales frozen: Google promises imminent fix

Google has pulled the Galaxy Nexus from its official Play store, no longer offering the unlocked, HSPA+ version of the Samsung smartphone after Apple convinced a judge to preserve its preliminary injunction. As of this morning, the Galaxy Nexus listing shows the handset as "coming soon" with a sign-up box for notifications; exactly when it will go on sale is unclear, though some suggestions indicate a workaround might mean that happens sooner rather than later and Google has promised it will hit shelves again sometime next week.

Verizon Galaxy Nexus pre-orders open tomorrow, no proof necessary

There's a few claims being written up today on the Galaxy Nexus as it'll be dropping on Verizon, each of them pointing in the direction of a pre-order date starting tomorrow, the 29th of November, 2011. What we're hearing is that there's this fellow by the name of Mike Peak who has been the only person in the world who's been able to contact Verizon and get a solid date out of them as far as when the magical Ice Cream Sandwich device will be available for purchase complete with LTE connectivity. The date is tomorrow, says the supposed Verizon customer assistant on the other end of the phone, and the event is a start for pre-release orders.

This post is just a big reminder for you that we will indeed be hitting up China for some tasty treats this Tuesday at the Samsung / Google event in Hong Kong. It's Android Ice Cream Sandwich we're expecting, and we're gonna get it! Not only that, we expect a lovely new device by the name of Samsung Galaxy Nexus - we've also hear Nexus Prime as a possible name, but if this poll has anything to say about it, Galaxy Nexus is the real deal. In Hong Kong the event is on the 19th of October at 10AM - conveniently that is also the time of day, 12 hours earlier, that it will be taking place New York time -- October 18th at 10PM.

Galaxy Note aimed at capturing the female market says Samsung

Galaxy Note aimed at capturing the female market says Samsung

This week it's been said by Samsung UK Sales Director Andrew Glass that the upcoming Galaxy Note device "is really good for the female market." With a gigantic 5.37-inch display and a thin stylus that's able to be carried by the device itself when not in use, we've been thinking that this halfway point between a tablet and a smartphone would be a good shot aimed at basically any set of humans, Glass this week detailed a few ways in which Samsung would be tending to the female market specifically. Does this 1280 x 800 pixel Super AMOLED HD display having 1.4GHz dual-core wielding Note device look like the lady product for you?

Samsung Google Android event set for October 19 in Hong Kong [Official]

Invites have been sent out to those considered worthy of attending what may well be the biggest event in the shared history of Samsung and Google, one taking place LIVE from Hong Kong, China. This event will almost certainly be showing off the newest Android operating system Ice Cream Sandwich working on a Samsung device either called the Nexus Prime or the Galaxy Nexus. One way or another, the 19th of October, Hong Kong (and the 18th of October, USA, for those that understand time zones,) will be the date of the big Samsung Unpacked event that was cancelled last week. Can you even contain your excitement at a time like this?!
