Verizon Galaxy Nexus Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update step-by-step

Verizon Galaxy Nexus Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update step-by-step

This week we're seeing the last of the iterations of the so-called Galaxy "Nexus" as it exists on Verizon's 4G LTE network. The Verizon Galaxy Nexus (made by Samsung, mind you) has since birth been plagued with talk of its mudblood-like software from the carrier as Verizon modified its contents past what Google originally intended - thus besmirching the purity of the Nexus smartphone line. Because of this Verizon-specific build, the Galaxy Nexus is last in line to receive the update to Android 4.2.2 - but here it is, ready for action!

Samsung Nexus 10 quick start manual spotted

We've heard whispers that claim Google will be unveiling the Samsung-made Nexus 10 tablet during its event on October 29, but today we've got some photographic evidence to back those claims up. Images of a Nexus 10 quick start manual have been posted to Korean site Seeko, and through them, we get an idea of what the Nexus 10 will look like. It doesn't look too terribly different from the more famous Nexus 7, with the biggest difference obviously being the 10-inch screen.

LG Nexus 4 name, specs outed in latest leak

By now, we're no stranger to Nexus 4 leaks, and Google seems primed to announce the new Nexus phone at an Android event its holding on October 29. Before it gets the chance to reveal it, however, the trusty folks of @evleaks have some more details to share with us, this time leaking both the name of the device and its specs. Since @evleaks rarely steers us in the wrong direction, we're tempted to believe them with this one.

Nexus 7 shoved in Google homepage pocket

Nexus 7 shoved in Google homepage pocket

The Google homepage, traditionally a rather stark white sort of place, has had a rather front and center location updated to include a link to the company's current hero tablet, the Nexus 7, up for sale in their online store. The space below the search bar (which has also had a bit of an update recently) has been reserved traditionally for only the most important of updates - September 11, 2001 news on the day it occurred being one example. Today Google's placement of a portal leading to their one and only Nexus tablet has been met with some resistance by the very vocal fans of said page online.

Nexus 7 magnetic sensor spells trouble for Google

Nexus 7 magnetic sensor spells trouble for Google

Just yesterday it was revealed by an intrepid magnet-holding developer in the wild that the Google Nexus 7 tablet had a magnetic secret - and today the fear begins for Google (and/or ASUS). The manufacturer of this tablet, ASUS, certainly must have considered that the magnetic display shut-off embedded in this device would ruffle the feathers of the likes of Apple as they've been using similar techniques in their notebooks and the iPad 2 for some time - but do ASUS or Google need to be worried? Perhaps not.

Galaxy Nexus sales frozen: Google promises imminent fix

Galaxy Nexus sales frozen: Google promises imminent fix

Google has pulled the Galaxy Nexus from its official Play store, no longer offering the unlocked, HSPA+ version of the Samsung smartphone after Apple convinced a judge to preserve its preliminary injunction. As of this morning, the Galaxy Nexus listing shows the handset as "coming soon" with a sign-up box for notifications; exactly when it will go on sale is unclear, though some suggestions indicate a workaround might mean that happens sooner rather than later and Google has promised it will hit shelves again sometime next week.
