When Google releases a new version of Android, it’s like a celebration for devices of all sorts. Nexus 9 detailed for Android Lollipop release

This week the folks at Google have made a sly deal of releasing their next wave of devices, starting with the Nexus 9 tablet from HTC. This device works with an 8.9-inch display with IPS LCD technology, an 8-megapixel camera at its back, a 1.6-megapixel camera up front, and an NVIDIA Tegra K1 (64-bit) processor under the hood. This tablet will be released in three colors and two different internal storage sizes.

Android Lollipop, Nexus 6, 9, and Player all arrive!

You’ve been waiting for it, and now it’s here. The Nexus 9 has arrived, and is branded with a very small HTC logo at the bottom. All the rumors, all the chatter, it was all true. In addition to the Nexus 9, we are also getting the Nexus 6, a VERY Motorola product. In fact, it looks like a bigger Moto X, which is exactly what we’d heard it would be. As if that weren’t enough, a Nexus set-top box is also seeing the light of day.

Nexus 6 from AT&T accidentally revealed

Nexus 6 from AT&T accidentally revealed

Before your heart starts to skip a beat, know that this might have just been an innocent error. Either someone pressed the "Publish" button too soon or actually messed up in typing in details. Either way, those errors are leading to some hope that AT&T might have some space reserved for the Nexus 6, possibly immediately after its official launch even. If true, this would make the Nexus 6 the first ever Nexus smartphone that will be sold directly by the carrier.

A Motorola tablet is coming, says Lenovo CEO

A Motorola tablet is coming, says Lenovo CEO

Did you own a Motorola Xyboard? the DROID tablets were among the early contenders for Android in the larger screen realm, and like most other Android tablets of the time, were fairly terrible. That was more an Android failure (this was pre Honeycomb, so Gingerbread. Gross.) than Motorola’s, and based on pure hardware, the Xyboard wasn’t so bad. It seems Moto’s new home with Lenovo may bring them back to the tablet forefront, but will Motorola resurrect the Xyboard brand?

Google to announce Nexus 9 tomorrow, launch in November

Google to announce Nexus 9 tomorrow, launch in November

Hey, how about that Nexus 9, huh? Sounds exciting, right? A Nexus tablet, 8.9-inch screen, and running the latest and greatest version of Android. Codenamed Volantis (which might just be some Game of Thrones stuff for you!), the Nexus 9 is set for release very soon. If the latest report from Forbes is to be believed, we’ll see that big, bad Nexus tablet tomorrow, maybe even alongside the Nexus 6. If a 6-inch phone and/or 9-inch tablet don’t excite you, you might want to rush to the Play Store now before existing products disappear.

Nexus 6 tipped in Android 2.0 Google ad spots

The next generation in Google’s Nexus universe is nearly here as the company releases three lovely videos showing the diversity in the Android ecosphere. Making use of the original Androidify app to create an assortment of Android characters, three videos released by Google this week show off how Android isn’t just singular. They don’t just have one phone for everyone. Sound like they’re aiming for a particular competitor with that bit of chatter?

New rumor says Nexus 9 coming next week

New rumor says Nexus 9 coming next week

Google’s incoming Nexus tablet is believed to be launching soon, possibly (read: likely) replacing the Nexus 10, which has languished in the Play Store since being introduced along with the original Nexus 7. A new report suggests Google will announce the tablet next week, likely positioning it as a Nexus 10 replacement. The price tag alone suggests as much, but the 9-inch screen on the Nexus 9 would likely step on big brother’s toes a bit. We are still wondering if the Nexus 9 is also meant to take the place of the Nexus 7 tablet.

Nexus 9 (HTC T1) tablet leaks its backside

Nexus 9 (HTC T1) tablet leaks its backside

There should be little doubt at this point that HTC is making a tablet. This tablet has appeared in documents of many kinds over the past few weeks, even going so far as to be mentioned by NVIDIA (accidentally) by name. Now the device has appeared in a leaked image - just one - that shows it to be very similar in appearance to the NVIDIA SHIELD Tablet. Right down to the shiny logo on the back, right on top of flat matte backing.
