Nokia N8-02 (aka “N9″) gets video demo & specs

Nokia's latest QWERTY smartphone is out there in the wild, and up until now the most confusing thing about it is knowing exactly what it might be called.  Variously tipped as the N9, N8-01, one of multiple Eseries names and more, all we know is that TechnoBuffalo has managed to grab some hands-on time and have come away with not only some more definitive specs but a comparison shot with the iPhone 3GS and the HTC EVO 4G.

Nokia N9 (or N8-02?) caught on video

Nokia's latest touchscreen QWERTY monster - variously known as the N9 or as part of the company's business-centric Eseries - has shown up in the wild, with Negri Electronics flaunting a hands-on demo with a prototype unit.  Labelled as the C0-00, the smartphone has a similar profile to the N8 but of course accommodates that hardware keyboard and a lower-resolution, 8-megapixel camera.

Nokia N8-01 spied in new pics and video

Nokia is working hard to get some of the market share back that it has lost in the smartphone world. The company has a long road to go since it has fallen significantly behind in the smartphone realm. One of the smartphones that has been rumored in the past is called the Nokia 801 or the Nokia N8-01 smartphone. Previously the phone had been tipped as the N9, but the phone in these photos doesn't look like the phone said to be the N9 or N8-02 we spied back in July.

The biggest news this morning, of course, is that Osama bin Laden is dead, killed in a raid by the US Military. And the news was inadvertently broken first on Twitter by one Sohaib Athar, who is now begging media to leave him alone so he can get some sleep! In other news, BlackBerry World is happening now, and we are loaded up with BlackBerry news, including the news that the BlackBerry PlayBook will be getting updates every few weeks to get the somewhat disappointing software up to speed. Already, there is news that the PlayBook will be getting Video Chat and Facebook apps in May.
