With a gasoline-powered car, refueling is as simple as pulling into a gas station and waiting a few minutes for the gas take to be refilled. Things are a bit trickier with electric vehicles, however, which require charging stations rather than gas stations. Tesla has been rolling out it SuperCharger network over many months, having added six in California back in October, for example. At tonight's D11 conference, Musk made an announcement early: Tesla's SuperCharger network will be tripled.

This week the folks at Tesla have made it clear that they're aiming for the complete satisfaction of the final owner of any Tesla Model S electric vehicle with a complete warranty program. This program has been announced to be bringing on an initial fleet of around 100 Model S vehicles in a "loaner service fleet" for if a customer with a vehicle in the shop for repairs. Tesla has also revealed a valet services along with this warantee program update complete with an 8-year time span.

It's no secret that California's 405 interstate is often a crowded expanse of endless cars, with the widening project it is undergoing being delayed over a year. Last summer, Elon Musk of Tesla and SpaceX fame gave $50,000 towards the construction project to help speed it up, but that contribution has been little more than a drop in the bucket. The cost of making the one-time use rockets is what's stopping many businesses from joining the industry.
