Motorola XOOM 2 and Spyder leaked photos appear

Motorola XOOM 2 and Spyder leaked photos appear

When a leaked set of photos of a device, or in this case two devices: the Motorola Spyder (aka DROID RAZR) and XOOM 2, are released with carrier logos splayed across them, it generally means that release time is near. We've learned this year that this isn't always true, but on the whole we can judge a leak by its cover. Here what we're seeing is a brand new handset and a second-generation tablet on the way straight out of the generally-ok photo takers hands. Motorola, will you bring the heat inside 2011?

Motorola XOOM 4G LTE upgrade starts tomorrow

Motorola XOOM 4G LTE upgrade starts tomorrow

The Motorola XOOM will finally be getting its long promised 4G LTE upgrade starting tomorrow. When the tablet first launched back in February, customers were told that it would initially only support 3G and that a 4G upgrade would be arriving shortly, but that was delayed to late summer with a time frame of sometime in September. Thankfully, the wait should be over soon, with the upgrade program kicking off tomorrow.

Motorola Xoom 8″ & 10″ leak together, 4G LTE confirmed

The Motorola Xoom 2 has leaked again today, this time being spotted hanging out with his little brother. Here we have both of the new Motorola Xoom's in the 8" and 10" form factor smiling for the camera. Apparently the tipster has also confirmed they are both rocking 4G LTE, but that to be expected and we'll probably see Wi-Fi models also. Is it just me or is this new design looking pretty neat?

The time frame was confirmed by Motorola in an email to customers back in July and now they've sent out a new email, revealing that the upgrade process will kick off early for business and government XOOM customers. Apparently, they will function as a "pilot" program for the upgrade process before it's rolled out to the masses.

Apple targets Motorola XOOM next in Euro tablet cull

Details of the Apple preliminary injunction against Samsung's Galaxy Tab 10.1 have revealed that the Cupertino company is also targeting the Motorola XOOM in Europe, with a complaint already filed over the design of the Honeycomb slate. Although there's no confirmation that Apple is seeking a similar injunction against Motorola for European XOOM sales, FOSSPatents points to a third, local German tablet company, JAY-tech, which is also named in the paperwork and which has already been banned from selling its wares.

Motorola XOOM 4G Could Be The Mystery Verizon Tablet?

Earlier this week, Verizon released a new commercial via YouTube to tout the speeds of its LTE network calling itself "the one network powerful enough to set your tablet free." During the short 30-second spot, there was a brief clip of a woman holding an as of yet unidentified tablet. This, of course, caused a stir of speculation as to what this mystery tablet could be.

Motorola XPRT Officially Announced in NYC

Motorola XPRT Officially Announced in NYC

What you're about to see is not an illusion. While it may look to you like the device you're seeing is the DROID Pro, you'd be mistaken. This instead is the Motorola XPRT, a device that's essentially the exact same device with a few tiny differences in the hardware. Where the device carried previously by Verizon had a 1420 mAh and an OK but not perfect amount of uptime, this new version contains a much more generous 1860mAh battery for a larger amount of time between charges. Then the keyboard is a tiny bit different from the device you've seen in the past, and the corners have a slightly different roundness to them.

Motorola XOOM 2, Slimline, Targa, Zaha, and more Leaked in Web Mishap

Motorola XOOM 2, Slimline, Targa, Zaha, and more Leaked in Web Mishap

Someone is very likely in trouble at this very moment as we see a nice little handful of Motorola items leak via an early reveal by a webmaster testing his wares out in a real live environment. Either this fellow didn't realize that the internet is turned on all the time and people are constantly on it, or this was a very oddly planned out leak for the purpose of stacking Motorola up as the overnight sensation in the Android news world. In this leak you're going to find images (and sparse details) about the Motorola XOOM 2, Slimline, Zaha, Targa, and a Dick Tracy watch by the name of Tracy XL. Sound like a good roundup?
