AUDEO PFE 022 + Mic Earbuds [Review] on a Plane

Take a look with your humble narrator at this lovely little pair of earbuds in the super bright white, orange, red, and black box. They say this set, the AUDEO PFE 022 + Mic Earbuds, have perfect bass, a perfect fit, and "perfect protection for maximum sound quality even at the lowest volumes." Inside the box there's a load of little instruction books, the earbuds, and three sets of rubber covers (for the insides of your ears.) Take a listen with us to the smooth sounds of these earbuds, a pair of earbuds that finally, finally fit in my ears and sound great without giving my lobes and drums a ringing out. Preview: for what they are, they rock. See the Unboxing and Hands-On post also!

Tron Guy Banned from Seeing Tron in his Tron Suit

Tron Guy Banned from Seeing Tron in his Tron Suit

Let me first say... or rather, possibly be the first Minnesotan to apologize for the fact that this happened. Tron Guy, I am sorry you were not allowed into a movie theater in my home state. I live in Minneapolis, and I am sorry for the poor manners and ignorance of my home state. When you called in to that movie theater that turned you away from seeing Tron: Legacy in your full internet-legendary suitm it was just horrible. It is appalling and completely silly that a movie theater would not let you, the coolest dude in the entire Troniverse, see the second installment of the film series in your full garb. My condolences.

Microsoft to Announce an ARM Processor Compatible Version of Windows OS

Microsoft to Announce an ARM Processor Compatible Version of Windows OS

It appears that Microsoft is set to announce a version of Windows that'll be ready to work with ARM processors at CES next month. Two sources familiar with Microsoft's plans have spoken with Bloomberg and revealed that Microsoft's plans for ARM Holdings Plc are confidential, so they'd like not to be identified. This means support for Tegra 2 and Qualcomm's upcoming dualcore CPUs, a big push indeed, one that Microsoft appears to need after losing some ground to Google and Apple. Qualcomm Inc., Texas Instruments Inc. and Samsung Electronics Co. make the ARM chips found in all the sweetest smartphones as well as the omnipotent iPad.

Best Buy Nexus S sales plans detailed: 2 per buyer from 8am on Dec 16

Having gone up for pre-order in the UK yesterday, sales plans for the Google Nexus S in the US have been confirmed by exclusive retailer Best Buy. The unlocked Nexus S will be priced at $529, or for $199 with a two-year T-Mobile agreement (and qualifying voice and data plan), when it goes on sale come December 16. Best of all, it seems Google has learned from its online-only sales debacle with the Nexus One, and will make sure every Best Buy and Best Buy Mobile store will have a Nexus S demo handset around for would-be buyers to play with.

Thing-O-Matic is Inexpensive Star Trek Replicator

Thing-O-Matic is Inexpensive Star Trek Replicator

Sort of! This is MakerBot Industries' Thing-O-Matic, a home 3D printer for just over a thousand dollars ($1,225.00). Holy crap that's awesome. It's approximately 12 inches by 12 inches by 16 inches and can print 3D objects that you design on your desktop "continuously for hours at a time." This is the same sort of machine we had (probably still have) at my alma mater the Minneapolis College of Art and Design - last I checked they were using it to carve 3D replicas of human heads. All this stuff gets cut down from MakerBot ABS Plastic, which you get 1 pound of to work with for starters when you buy the Thing-O-Matic kit. Make a thousand rabbits!

Verizon’s 4G LTE Site Launches, Reveals Details [Updated]

Verizon’s 4G LTE Site Launches, Reveals Details [Updated]

While Verizon may be waiting to officially announce everything courtesy of a press conference, it looks like the company just couldn't wait to pull the curtain off their brand new website, which features plenty of details in of itself. It has the same flare as the commercial we've seen earlier in the month, and there's even a nice introduction the site, with a lot of electricity. But, while the flashiness may be enough for some people to get excited about Verizon's LTE network, it's the details that matter to most everyone else.

Fluid Dress is incredible labor of fluid-filled love [Video]

Fluid Dress is incredible labor of fluid-filled love [Video]

You don't have to wear a dress regularly to be mightily impressed by Minneapolis artist Charlie Bucket's incredible fluid-filled knitted wearable art. The handiwork of several years experimentation, the dress is made from huge lengths of rubber tubing knitted into a dress; various computer-controlled pumps adjust the flow of dyed liquid through out, creating patterns and shapes across its length.
