Nokia, which still exists as a non-smartphone-making Finnish company, might slowly be giving up its hold on "Nokia" smartphones. This might very well start with the rumored Lumia 830, which, based on this leaked render of its backplate, still shows the company's name, but now affixed with "by Microsoft", hinting at how Redmond plans to transition the branding from Nokia to purely Microsoft.

Google let it be known this week that with Google Drive for Work, they’ve brought on encryption in transit and on-server, audit and activity APIs, and enhanced admin controls, all a part of their plan to continue pulling enterprise customers away from Microsoft’s Office suite.

Microsoft may not have launched a Surface Mini alongside the Surface Pro 3, but chatter of a last-minute cancellation for the smaller slate looks all the more likely given the multiple references to it in the larger tablet's user guide.
