Livescribe has partnered with Dropbox to make its Echo smartpen even more productive for busy note-takers. The Echo smartpen will now be able to automatically sync its notes directly to a user's Dropbox account. And since about 46 percent of Livescribe users also use Dropbox, this is a perfect match for storing handwritten notes in the cloud to be conveniently and securely accessible from anywhere. Our handwriting may have steadily become sloppier as keyboard use increases, but there are still plenty of people who reach for a pen & paper first and QWERTY much later. Livescribe’s Pulse Smartpen promised the best of both worlds, a way of recording not only handwriting but audio as well, and then allowing for digital playback of meetings and lectures. Livescribe have outed the latest versions of their Pulse smartpen range, which promise to take your chicken-scratch, digitize it and make it less of a headache to read back at a later date.  The Pulse now comes in two memory options - the original 2GB and a new 4GB model - together with getting a makeover in the shape of a titanium-finish casing.  There's also a ProPack on offer, which bundles an exclusive black 4GB Pulse smartpen, charging cradle, leather carrying case, A5 notebook and handwriting-to-text transcription software.
