In early October of last year, the first iteration of underground online shop Silk Road was seized by the FBI and Department of Justice, and its founder Ross William Ulbricht was arrested. It didn't take long for a new version to open, however, and though the Silk Road 2.0 has had its share of drama, the underground market has been in operation for the last year or so. That came to a halt today, with the service again being seized and the alleged admin being arrested.

Apple confirms new engineering office in Seattle

Apple has nestled itself in the Pacific Northwest, joining the likes of Microsoft, Google and Amazon by opening an engineering office in Seattle. Apple has confirmed the business move to the Seattle Times, but has not elaborated on any details beyond that. This marks a first for the company, and it is expected more will be joining it in due time. No details are provided on where exactly the office is located, but a fair bit of information on what is taking place has surfaced.
