LG and Prada have confirmed plans to launch the third PRADA phone in early 2012, sharing some early sketches of the fashion-centric smartphone but refusing to spill technical details. The PRADA Phone by LG 3.0 will hit UK shelves tomorrow, Friday January 27, retailer Phones 4U has confirmed, with the designer-branded Android smartphone priced from free with a new agreement. Packing a 4.3-inch LG NOVA IPS display - albeit running only at WVGA resolution - along with an 8-megapixel camera and NFC, the PRADA Phone runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread right now but has an ICS upgrade in the works.

The PRADA Phone by LG 3.0 will hit UK shelves in early February, retailers have confirmed, with the unlocked Android 2.3 smartphone priced at £429.99 ($666) including tax. Supplies are expected sometime within the week commencing February 6, according to Clove, just ahead of MWC 2012. The PRADA Phone by LG 3.0 isn't expected to be made official until later on today, but that hasn't stopped press shots and specs of the dual-core Android smartphone from leaking out ahead of time. The monochrome aesthetic of LG's hardware and custom UI - running on top of Android 2.3 Gingerbread - don't come as a huge surprise in BestBoyz shot, given we've already seen the K2 in the wild and teased ahead of an early 2012 release by the company itself.

LG’s Roadmap Leaked, Includes Windows Phone 7 Mango Fantasy And Dual-Core Prada K2

The roadmap for LG's 2H 2011 smartphone lineup has been leaked along with specs and images revealed by the folks at PocketNow. They were not allowed to reproduce the images, and hence have offered up some renderings, which show a strong lineup of both high-end and mid-tier Android devices as well as one Windows Phone 7 Mango handset. LG planning iPhone rival in Q4; new PRADA and Vertu-rival after

LG have revealed their plans to launch a number of new luxury phones, including a new PRADA design, which they hope will help usurp Samsung from their number two cellphone maker in the world position.  According to LG’s mobile business president, Ahn Seung-kwon, the current number three is aiming to step up by 2012, and one of their first steps in doing so will be releasing a new "Black Label" series phone in Q4 2009 to take on Apple's iPhone 3GS.
