Google LG Nexus 4 official: $299 unlocked from November 13

Google and LG have officially announced the Nexus 4, the latest Android smartphone, running 4.2 Jelly Bean on a quadcore processor. The LG-made smartphone has a 4.7-inch 1280 x 768 True HD IPS+ display and a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro chipset running at 1.5GHGz paired with 2GB of RAM; Google plans to sell it unlocked for use on GSM/HSPA+ networks worldwide, as well as via T-Mobile USA with a contract. However, there's no LTE support, which will disappoint many.

LG Nexus 4 confirmed early: Ships October 30th

LG's Nexus 4, expected to be officially unveiled by Google at its event next week, has been prematurely confirmed by a UK retailer. The 4.7-inch Android handset has cropped up in a listing at Carphone Warehouse, running 4.2 Jelly Bean and packing an 8-megapixel camera and a quadcore 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 processor, as expected. According to the page, shoppers can preorder now for delivery on October 30, with the Nexus 4 priced from free on a £31 ($50) per month, two-year agreement.

What's believed to be a promotional image of the LG Nexus 4 bearing Google's Nexus branding has leaked, ahead of the smartphone's expected launch next week. The image, courtesy of tipster evleaks, fits with previous leaked photos of the handset in the wild, though that last sighting didn't include the bold "nexus" logo across the upper rear of the phone. Update: Not so fast! This might not be as legit as we hoped.

By now, we're no stranger to Nexus 4 leaks, and Google seems primed to announce the new Nexus phone at an Android event its holding on October 29. Before it gets the chance to reveal it, however, the trusty folks of @evleaks have some more details to share with us, this time leaking both the name of the device and its specs.
